Hi philos64,

I tried to download the file being linked above. The file itself is not extractable/unzippable. The MD5 checksum which is displayed on d-h.st matches the file that I have downloaded. Also the file size is only ~113MB where I expected about 400MB.

Therefor I conclude that the file is broken. Can you upload a functioning file?

Sincerely,
- forcemaker

Ok I will see asap ;)

[Edit] Really sorry I cannot upload again. This firmware is useless that's why you cannot find it and that's why I have deleted it. Really sorry but you can use the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG Firmware V9.4.4.40 Only for WW SKU (Android 4.0.3)

Hello philos64, nevertheless thanks for your effort!

By the way, I was not able to find ANY download for this Stock ROM, so this was the last available version. I would not have imagined that. Also sad, that ASUS removed those ROMs from their download servers. "They knew why." (in the meaning of locking us out of ICS ... luckily my nvflash copy seems to work. Tested this by flashing the ICS Stock ROM and went back via nvflash.

Thanks again!

OP's change

From this wednesday, september 11th, I give to @todbaryl my OP which concern the TF300 in Development sub-forum and mostly because its contributions on xda and the TF300 are relevant.

I've moved for a another work and I need to reduce my contribution on xda
That's why I asked to todbaryl to take over and continue the updates of this thread,

Good luck todbatyl

How to get kernel source code for Memo pad me172v

How to get kernel source code for Memo pad me172v in order to build a new kernel with Ethernet support ? it would be better if anyone has the modules that I need to do it (usbnet.ko , Asix.ko) without building

Some kernel source is posted on the asus web site. Search for unit name, then choose support, then download, choose android, then source code.
I'm sorry I don't know anything about your particular unit and when I search for memo pad there are several choices.
Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply, I already searched for my device and I found the following link:
https://www.asus.com/support/Download/28/6/ASUS MeMO Pad/32/
But when I downloaded the source code after extracting it I found it was only one file which is wired, because the kernel source code usually contain thousands of files. Note: my device model is ASUS "me172v"

My results are different.
42,565 Files, 2,750 Folders - kernel source from your link. I find source for both usbnet and Asix included.
Try using 7zip and uncompress each level including one minus an extension (kernel20130314).
I was not successful finding any compiled files.
An internet search revealed "source not yet released".

I have two additional questions:
- if the kernel source code is already having the drivers for usbnet and asix, then what is missing to make the device to usb to Ethernet?
- How can I use this the kernel source code to build a complete image with Ethernet support ? as I have only the kernel source code..

Thanks a lot man , from your note that these modules were existed it seems that the Ethernet was supported but not in the UI level, When we connected the supported ASIX AX88772 Ethernet and run "netcfg" command on terminal eth1 was displayed but it was down so I run "netcfg eth1 up" and "netcfg eth1 dhcp" , the device gets an IP and I can ping IPs but I can't browse internet from browser, although my application the use the network worked fine :)

I'm sorry but I don't have the necessary knowledge to answer your questions.
Maybe someone else will reply with some help.
