@sd_shadow. My device is rooted and everything is running smoothly. However, I encountered a problem along the way where I didn't install pico. I couldn't do nothing with my device and I somehow got an upgrade in on sideload. From there I used root explorer to move pico zip into my external storage and I got everything running the way it should from twrp recovery. Now, I don't like relying on luck. How and where can I learn to sideload and use my command prompt? Bear in mind I've been gone for a decade and am a movie.

I flashed SlimROM via FlashFire from my rooted Fire 7. I installed a Layers theme and rebooted and now im stuck in a bootloop. I did not get to turning on USB debugging therefore, adb IS NOT working. I've tried sideloading the BIN file (stock firmware) via stock recovery but it fails. Can anyone help? Ive also performed a factory reset in recovery.

How long have you been stuck in a bootloop? I was stuck for about two days and just let the sideload do it's thing for that amount of time before I could get into the system to make any changes.

Damn, I'm fairly new to all this. I was stuck in a bootloop too at one point and my only salivation came with a lucky sideload with absolutely no command prompt experience. Have you tried pushing adb through a sideload then checking the sideload updates. After you push the sideload initiate the update. It worked for me albeit on cm12.

Hello to all,
i have a question about the fire 7. Is it possible to flash twrp on my fire 7 with OS 5.0.1 ? I flashed CM 12.1 on the tablet without flashing twrp.

Thanks a lot
Nea

I always verify md5 before flashing, if possible.

Script that installs root, gapps, but keeps Fire Launcher?

Is there a script that will work with 5.1.1 that will leave the Fire Launcer in place but lets gapps be installed. Primarily just need access to google account so that Mighty Text will run. I can find scripts that will change launcher but I actually like the default launcher.

Increasing headphone volume...?

Anyone found a reliable was of increasing max volume on this reasonably priced gem? It's all good, and I'm running SlimLP to make it more customizable, but the output when using headphones is pretty weak. I do a lot of travelling on noisy tubes and buses so an increase would be more than welcome.

Please let me know if you have any ideas... more than happy to flash different ROM's or stock ROM if needs be.

Thanks!
