You can try LineageOS or Resurrection Remix OS. Both these ROMs are stable.

RR is full of customisation, I know that... But what I need is stability and battery life as my mom is going to use it..
So which ROM should I go for?
If you don't need more customization option then you should go for LineageOS.
And if you want more customization option then go for RR.
Both ROMs are stable and have decent battery life.

You need to select 'x86>*Android Version*>*preferred package*' for Zenfone 5
The gapps which you are flashing is for arm devices. And our zenfone is based on x86.
So you need to download x86 version of gapps.
Always select the pico version of x86 gapps according to your android version.
Thus, the wrong version of gapps gives the error like this. Download the correct version and then flash it again.
