OK- I have read and read and read and read and read... you get the point..... I cant seem to get the counter off no matter what I have tried. I am only up to 3 now.... which does not seem like much but I am not happy about this. The link from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311081&page=11 states that you have to have the USB jig..... is this the ONLY way to remove the counter then?
Yes. You can buy the jig for as little as $3 on eBay

I've been away for a month and a half or so, so could someone please clue me in? I've been using Cognition X2 beta 4 and came to see if there were any updates. I see X2 in the ROMs section, but when I went to the post, it's been renamed to Cognition 777 and the download link is missing. Has this been pulled for some reason?

I liked Cognition because it was based off of stock. I really am loving the Samsung Media Hub app (been watching the entire season of American Horror Story with the $25 credit AT&T gave.) If Cognition has been pulled, are there any other comparable apps out there? I'm looking for working bluetooth, tethering, battery life. Obviously performance is important too. Used UnNamed, Serendipity, CM7, and of course Cognition and I like it the best.

Nobody knows? That thread is closed, so I can't even comment over there to see what's going on. I really like Cognition, so any help would be appreciated. Again, unless there is a currently developed comparable ROM.

One would assume that DesignGears has stopped development on that rom. Seems unlikely you'd get any information from him about it though.

The UnNamed rom is based on stock, and is one of the more popular roms.

Thanks for the reply. I was on UnNamed at one point. I don't remember why I switched off. Probably because I was trying them all out. Looks like I may have to go back to it :p

Thanks for the heads up. I did some research and found that DG changed the name from X2 to 777 earlier in the rom. he actually posted the question asking if people liked the name Cognition 777.

Now changed in master list.

As stated earlier he has moved on to GN.... He's always on the move. He's an amazing developer, full of talent.

No problem. I saw him asking early on in the thread, but I guess it wasn't until much later that he changed it to 777. I guess either way he stopped development. It's a shame, because he definitely is an amazing developer. I've had zero issues with Cognition. Thanks for updating the thread.

Thanks, tomween1!

I check this post daily looking for an ICS ROM based on the newest from Samsung.

I found unnamed here as well. Good work, and useful!

How do you keep all these up to date?

What type of funky battery drain are you seeing?
