I have just started my benchmark thread.

Those who have already done some research already knows it takes weeks to get this done.

For now I have a poll with available Mi Max 2 AOSP roms, thanks to @jbmc83 for this index thread and @pranavaryans for more than half of the roms. :p

The poll will guide me on the ROMs that will be benchmarked first.

Here is a link to the thread: [WIP][oxygen] Battery Life / Performance Benchmarks - Mi Max 2 AOSP Roms.

If you are accessing XDA using an app the poll is not shown. At the end of my OP you will find instructions on how to vote.

So vote now!

impressive! that was fast work opening up the thread, good job :)

and yes, important disclaimer to all users waiting impatiently for results: ive done a bit of rom testing myself and i can tell you it takes a LOT of time! im guessing weeks to months to cover all available custom roms ;)

naturally, ill be sure to add your thread to the index soon :)

Uhm, LOS and AOSP are different things. You shouldn't use terms like that wrongly.
Yes and no.

LineageOS is AOSP based.

If a rom dev decides to base his rom on LineageOS he cuts a lot of development time and inherits LA features and device support.

Since LA is AOSP based all LA based roms are also AOSP based.

You can argue that so is MIUI, but then since MIUI is the Xiaomi stock rom it makes sense to have MIUI/MIUI based roms as a separate topic.

So the OP is correct.

currently, not that i know of. but then again, im not in the know about current dev projects, only the devs know about that :)

have u tried "pixelifying" a rom urself? by using pixel launcher, gapps and icons plus a theming engine maybe?

The link does not work, please help check
Thanks

hmmm interesting. the link still works for their repository, but it looks like it was emptied / moved or closed down for public access. let me see if i can find other sources...

edit: looks like their official website / forum is the only place u can download the ROM now. However, registration is required for that. so still accessible, but not without being a member in their forum.

updated the OP accordingly! thanks for the headsup!

so...how do you determine if and when a rom is abandoned? :) when there is no new version for 2 weeks? a month? 2 months? whats the general rule of thumb here? ask the dev? what if hes too busy to answer but after three months releases another build when he has time? get my drift? ;)
same goes for "final" roms, ive already seen examples where updates came in even after a rom was declared final :)

guys, cmon. its literally ONE click away. all it takes is check latest build in OP and the date it was published, thats it :)

you basically want me to do that work for you, for all threads, each day / every day (which would be necessary for the index to stay updated, at which point it does become a LOT of work). i wont do that, especially since i dont know which roms interest you.

so just check what interests you, click the link and voila: done! :)

hope you guys understand!

cheers!
Hello, do add [Abandoned] or [Final] tags to all those abandoned ROMs. Easier to keep trail of up to date ROMs in the future.

I meant for those ROMs tagged by the developer themselves. Some of pranavaryans ROMs are abandoned according to himself, He says that in the last reply in all these threads.

It was just a recommendation from my part to add current status, dont take it that I dont appreciate the work you do. If its hard to keep up with all the ROMs, which it will be after some time then dont do it.
Cheers :good:

he indeed did, but the reason for those posts had nothing to do with actually abandoning the roms but was due to some, lets say, "impolite" posts towards him ;) so its actually not clear if he really abandoned them or if he will decide to pursue those roms at some point in the future :)

no offense taken buddy, dont worry! this is why i tried to explain myself, i dont want to make the impression that i dont care about the input and suggestions you guys leave in this thread. right the opposite! i take it as a good sign that people are interested in this list ;)

its just that i dont want to promise anything that i wouldnt be able to keep due to time restraints, thats all.

cheers!

I think that the time when he abounded the Roms was when there was some Trols that was on him.
