yes there are several tutorial for upgrading to 2.3.6 on XDA. infact i am also going to do it sometime in future and i will recommend you to use 2.3.7 instead which is official cyanogen Mod

and if you want latest versions and don't care about some bugs and speed then you can upgrade to ICS or JB by CM9 or CM10......
