Cause I'm a newbie in this area I don't know the existence of the most part of ROM,there are some ROM missing in this forum.
I want the best ROM, even if it's not here, that why I'm asking help.

Hello and welcome! Here are some good resources to start with:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...ide-nexus-5-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t2507905
http://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-root-and-unlock-the-google-nexus-5-xda-developer-tv/

Once you are ready it is normal to take a nandroid backup and then flash as many ROM's as you can and try them all for a while. You will then get a feel for what is common among them and which ones with unique features you like. After you get a feel for features, battery life etc. you can read features and changelogs for ROM's you haven't tried to see if they are candidates for future flashing. At some point you will most likely settle on the "best" ROM for you.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

As he said u need the best rom for u... There isn't a 'best rom' its whats the best rom for u... Always make a nandroid (a back up of ur current rom) that way if u dont like something u can restore the one u had

stock or a close to stock rom will give you the best battery life, a slight underclock may or may not help as well.

also check the actual battery capacity with antutu

Hi all

I have ex kernel and ax kernel manager. There is any settings to keep performance that improve battery life? Like the one for Nexus 6p or 5x.
Thanks

For a couple of months I'am searching for a adequate ROM for me, but I did not find it. Till now I have used Slim 5.1.1. beta 0.12. (see figure 1 for complete information) but I'am seeking for a Marshmallow with few options which I heavily use on Slim 5.1.1.

1) launcher on which 5X5 icons can be placed (see figure 3).
2) launcher which will correctly show Aix Weather widget like in a figure 2
3) Manage LCD brightness by sliding across status bar
4) Rigth or left edge quick pulldown
5) Long press turn on button while phone is locked turn flashlight
6) Power off and advanced reboot menu (reboot, recovery, soft reboot, flashboot)
7) Gapps with calendar 6, and google CAMERA 2 app compatible with chosen ROM

Does anybody knows which Marshmallow ROM and compatible mini GAPPS provide all this fatures?

I didn't try but there is already a Slim6 alpha 0.10 for the Nexus 5.

I'am not sure if this combination has all my requirements or maybe I does not know how to set them up. I just installed your combination and I cannot manage following requirements.

2) There is just option for 5x2 Aix Weather widget and I need 4x1
5) In Gravity box module I can not find option for:"Long press turn on button while phone is locked turn flashlight", but this is not crucial since there must be some module which allows that
7) Unfortunately stock rom comes with calendar version 5, not 6. It is not problem to install calendar 6 but it could be problem to remove calendar 5 from system in order to free memory. My Nexus is 16GB version and any MB is valuable. Also stock rom comes with many apps which I don't use and I would like to get rid of them to free some space. Is it enough to just delete particular app from /Data/app/desired_google_app or there also somewhere system puts files from this apps. Also what would happen to stability of system if I just delete non desired apps in this manner?
Does anybody has some suggestion about requirements particularly requirements 2) and 7)?

to 2.
i dont use that launcher function in GB, while I have nova launcher, but there are several other modules to tweak the stock launcher. I would suggest first to ask in GB threat

to 5.
its under "navigation key actions / lockscreen torch"

to 7.
you can uninstall all apps you like to, including system apps via titanium backup from play store.

Thanks, after you uninstall undesired programs the real problem is how to shrink /data and /system partition and enlarge /sdcard with gained space

Hi all. So right now I'm using cm13 rom with greenify and amplify, but I'm not very happy with my screen on time. Will flashing a custom kernel help? and if so, which one? I care about performance, stability, battery life (screen on time to be specific) (there's almost no battery drain during off screen), and also theming, and so I care about everything, lol. I don't play games or use heavy usage but I do hate lags when performing light tasks. Should I try cm13 with franco kernel for instance? or another rom?

So, to rephrase and make it short, what is the best combination between rom and kernel for :

1)performance stability (no lag/bugs..etc)

2) screen on time (and battery life in general)

3) theming

I'm on nexus 5 ofc, I did try finding comparisons but I reached no conclusions
