Make a factory reset in stock recovery before writing any commands.....factory reset in stock then this will be fixed..
Absolutely yes...update it...u can get /do an ota as long as u have 1.locked/unlocked bootloader 2.stock recovery 3.stock kernel 4.stock rom
As he flashed previous version of bootloader than what he has which results in hardbrick of the phone. My suggestion is wait for the latest firmware and then flash it and you can update. For more information please read the first page of this threat completely.

What I told is based on my practical experience,not a theoretical judgement ...if anyone can satisfy those 4 conditions I mentioned earlier they can update their phone...no hard brick or soft brick will happen...even with a custom recovery these ota updates happen..

All those things are false...update,nothing will happen...the worst case scenario may be it will show update failed...but that chance is also too low

I flashed the firmware with bootloader unlocked and I also faced in gpt command preflash validation failed though other commands are okay...I then update the rom via ota to get the January security patch...so I told u to update...though if u fear ur phone will become dead then don't update...
