I tried doing that formating data but it is not getting installed
I never face such problem during downgrading.. I would recommend you to install any custom rom and then install downgrade build.. Not sure but may work

Strange.... I have switched multiple times between these two and never ever faced such problem.. Don't know what's wrong with you... I don't have laptop with me right now to show you as a proof making official
Can you please elaborate me how you are downgrading

Preflash validation failure occurs when you have a newer bootloader over your old bootloader. In that case, what you have to do is,skip the commands:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img

Use the rest of the commands and you will be fine. Use this method only when you are trying to flash an older build and you have this 'preflash validation error' issue. :)

Thanks buddy. Lets hope it does change to official[emoji14]
You do understand that even if you system status says official, your warranty is still void, right? So why are you trying to get back to official status so bad?

When you request an unlock code, your warranty is void, even if you don't actually unlock your phone... It is clearly spelled out in the T&C. The System Status is not relevant, your device's warrant is void if you got an unlock code from Motorola... Now, if you found a way to unlock without getting a code from Moto that would be different but there currently isn't a way to do that.
