Hi, i have a really big problem here, my device can't be restored because the old installed rom was XT1542_OSPREY_RETLA_6.0_MPIS24.221 and over the internet I only can find the 24.65 version. So fastboot can't flash anything because a newer build of the rom was installed previously. If there is a way to get that firmware i will revive my device. Thanks for helping!

Tente perguntar no fórum do seu dispositivo, talvez vc tenha mais chance de receber uma resposta. E use inglês, é uma das regras do XDA :ap

EN
Try to ask at your device's forum, maybe u have more chance of getting an answer. And use english, it's one of XDA's main rules :p

There are newer versions available in https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/osprey/official/

My system partition was corrupted and I had not enabled the OEM unlock setting in my XT1542, but I was able to flash boot and system version MPIS24.65-33.1-2-16 from the XT1543, enable the OEM unlock setting, unlock the bootloader and flash back to the proper stock firmware. The bootloader only checks that the version and 'cid' numbers are the same, not the model.

@agusdallalba

Hi , I have the same problem , "OEM disabled" . The mobile doesnt permit unlocked it .
I have a Spanish retail version XT1541 RETES, 6.0.1/MPIS24.107-55-2-17 ) ( I am from Spain)

The problem is that the repository only has 6.0.1/MPIS24.107-55-2-5.

does somebody has the -17 version ??

I'd like to flash a stock ROM but probably is not allowed, because it is a downgrade .

You change from XT1542 to XT1543 , doesnt it ? In order to permit OEM modifications ?? it does working ??
and then unlock , etc
Can you confirm that?
XT1542 , XT1543 what country version is ?

Thnks

The website I linked before has the -17 version for the Spanish XT1541, so you don't need to do the hack I did. See: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmwar....107-55-2-17_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip

And yes, you can flash an XT1543 ROM in the XT1542 (or any other osprey with 1 GB of RAM), the bootloader only checks that the 'cid' number is the same and the version is the same or greater. After flashing you can enable OEM unlock and then and return to the proper version with the unlocked bootloader.

After installing XT1550 2GB version 6.0.1 or 6.0 firmware, the phone call has echo problem. The other caller can hear their own voice. This problem is not present if I install XT1550 2GB 5.1.1 firmware.
Is anyone else facing same problem?
please how can I fix this problem?

Finally I solved the echo problem in my XT1550 2GB phone.
------------------------------
FINALLY WORKING (echo problem SOLVED):

https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639
Download XT1550 5.1.1 stock firmwares
5.1.1 (build 47 ) = Retail Asia | India (2GB) - XT1550_OSPREY_RETASIA-INDIA_DS_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-47_cid7 (Mirror #1)
5.1.1 (build 47.4 )= Retail Asia | India (2GB) - XT1550_OSPREY_RETASIA_DS_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-47.4_cid7
5.1.1 (build 65 ) = Retail Asia | India (2GB) - XT1550_OSPREY_RETASIA_DS_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-65_cid7 (Newer Build)

Steps I followed:

wipe/reset
install 5.1.1 (build 65)
install 5.1.1 (build 47)
Wipe/reset
modem firmware alone from OS5.1.1 (build 47.4)
Wipe/reset
modem firmware alone from OS5.1.1 (build 65), all other commands below in https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-fastboot-flashing-factory-t3187750

fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot

(my guess is probably wipe/reset before modem firmware alone from OS5.1.1 (build 65) is the solution!)

Hope it helps someone.

I am facing the same issue, did you downloaded the "RETLA" or "RETLA_DS" version?

I solved my issue by flashing "XT1542_OSPREY_RETLA_6.0_MPIS24.65-33.1-2-16_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip".
I literally tested all available firmware's for the XT1542 and that was the only one that flashed without errors (with a locked bootloader)
