There is probably no real difference between 1gb and 2gb firmware. I'd personally flash the 2gb version, ignoring the build number.Hi there. I am in the UK and I bought my moto g from moto maker.
It is the 2gb XT1541 with android 5.1.1 system version - 23.41.47.osprey_reteu_2gb.reteu.en.EU retgb (build number LPI23.72-47). Which version of your files should I flash to get back to stock (if I leave!)? The standard 2gb EU version?
I notice that the build number looks more similar to the 1gb GB version hence my confusion.
These are Factory Firmware Images - they do not have 'bugs.' The issue is how you are flashing the files, or related to something on your phone. Fastboot may give no errors, yet flashing has completely failed. Fastboot is not a user-friendly utility.@lost101 there is wifi bug in the older firmware of indian 2 gb model... It may work, but I do not know. It's also possible flashing the Sprint Firmware Image will damage your phone beyond repair. I'd wait for a specific Virgin Firmware Image, unless someone can say otherwise. Is the Sprint US the one for Virgin Mobile also?
Okay, thanks for the report. Sorry if I caused offense.@lost101 yeah i know that factory images does not have bugs... But i was just telling my experience... On latest firmware there is no issue... Regardless the flashing... I followed the steps that are mentioned...
No. No... Its ok... Other person told me that for him its working fine... And latest firmware working very good... So no problem at all... Thanks for sharing this firmwre images...Okay, thanks for the report. Sorry if I caused offense.

Thanks for the response. Would you know where could/would I look for the factory image? Thanks, having weird network issues where whenever I'm away from WiFi (no data plan, just WiFi), I keep getting told to sign into VM network and I don't receive calls or texts until updating prl and profile with WiFi. Has only happened since unlocking bootloader and root.It may work, but I do not know. It's also possible flashing the Sprint Firmware Image will damage your phone beyond repair. This is the place for factory firmware images. You could try identifying the apk for that VM network popup - freezing it and rebooting.Would you know where could/would I look for the factory image? You are getting off-topic. I haven't tried.@lost101 Got a query,
On arrival and install of new OTA, I make a TWRP backup of pure unrooted stock rom and a Flashify backup of new stock recovery. But wondering whether whether we can use the Flashify recovery backup file renamed into "recovery.img" and use it for fastboot flashing...? Have you tried.
Sorry about that. Just thought a thread would get saved for a small query related to fastboot. So asked here. Thanks boss. This is the place for factory firmware images. You could try identifying the apk for that VM network popup - freezing it and rebooting.

According to my information the Sprint firmware is the same one used for Virgin so it should be no problem flashing for you. Thanks for the response. I just did a test download. Zip extracts fine. Maybe check the 'md5' of the file you have on disk matches the one stated on androidfilehost:Thank you for this thread! However, the firmware for Consumer Cellular is corrupt. I've downloaded it several times and each time, 7-zip gives the following error : "CRC failed in 'system.img_sparsechunk.3'. File is broken."
For what ever reason, no one can seem to download a good copy of this one rom. I tried every one of the servers and they all gave me that same error. I even had someone else try it and they got the same error. What you can do though is download the Defense Mobile US rom and use the sparsechunk3 file in it to flash the CC rom. They are identical and it will flash fine. I flashed it two times that way with no problem.Thank you for this thread! However, the firmware for Consumer Cellular is corrupt.
