Hi there, I worte every single line in my xt1543, but at the beginning the first line send me a failed message, besides when i finished to flash everything the moto simply don´t started, and it just stady in the messager o warning botloader ... what shoul I do? thank you.
Give me a log. Copy and paste from command prompt. Take screenshots.

hello friends waited to be fine, I can install this firmware XT1543_OSPREY_RETBR_DS_6.0_MPI24.65-25.1_cid12

In my moto G xt1542????
The choice is yours. Wait a little while for a new XT1543 Firmware Image or take the risk. But if you completely destroy your phone - then I'm sorry in advance.

So when the new MM ROM for xt1543 be released i will just need 2 flash it over my old MM ROM?
Follow the tutorial. Include the following command to prevent complications: fastboot erase userdata

HI Team,

Please do something thing for India Users as I see on every other post people are looking for MM factory image .. Can we check if we can get one...
Why do you think that lost101 and firmware team do not put any effort in seeking the firmware? They don´t receive money for their work, do it because they like it, then do not pressured to do something they do gladly and free.

What happens if you use the following command prior to flashing in fastboot, a factory firmware image:
fastboot oem unlock

Tip: Give me a log. Copy and paste from command prompt. Take screenshots.
This happens when I type fastboot oem unlock

Motorola re-upped these images to their server so I added them to my Filefactory folder as well.
Apparently they check out ok even though they have fewer sparse chunks than the newer MM firmware.

XT1540_OSPREY_RETLA_NA_6.0_MPI24.65-25_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip

XT1543_OSPREY_RETLA_DS_6.0_MPI24.65-25_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip

XT1550_OSPREY_RETASIA_DS_2GB_6.0_MPI24.65-25_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip

Why the hell u downgrade after update? And i think before that u should have done some research about factory image, I am still on 5.1.1 cose i know if something goes wrong i am ****ed up without factory image....So now take a chill pill and wait for factory image....Cose it is not manufactured....

Didn't he just say he got stuck in a bootloop? That's a pretty good reason to reset the phone to whatever it came with, and if that means downgrading, so be it!

Is it safe to accept OTA updates if you have already flashed this firmware over a bricked OTA marshmallow install? I made the mistake of trying to root it after setting external sd as internal storage, which, in case you haven't heard, will result in the phone being stoned. Flashing this firmware, and thus downgrading to lollipop, was the only way to get it working again. I have heard that downgraded phones can be hard-bricked by trying to upgrade again, and now I am scared to even accept the minor stagefright update it wants me to get, let alone marshmallow. Also, I would like to know the factory bootloader version number because I heard it might be a part of the issue.
Ok, after reading numerous replies and reports on this and other threads that Re-installing Marshmallow OTA is safe, I decided to go ahead and do it myself. Good news, it installed without a hitch.
If you just found this thread, I'd like to share some things I've learned the hard way about this phone, so no one else will have to:
  1. Rooting the Moto G 2015 is a fairly risk-free process if it is still running lollipop. However, if you have already installed Marshmallow, trying to root runs a VERY high risk of softbricking the device, ESPECIALLY if you have the SD card configured as 'internal storage'.
  2. Flashing the device with factory software and firmware is safe, so long as you follow the instructions given in this thread line for line.
  3. It is also safe to accept OTA upgrades after flashing, unlike with the previous two models of the Moto G.
  4. Before doing anything that necessitates unlocking the bootloader in the first place, you will want a backup phone. My 1st gen Moto g was a blessing during the two days I spent scrambling to save my crippled new phone.
Thank you to all the people who have shared their experiences and advice on this thread. Your help was my only hope.
