This is the logcat of XT1550 (India) while updating it to Marshmallow, you may found link to download official marshmallow latest firmware. (If useless ignore, if not check attachment)

I've added the following to first post:
Perform a 'Factory data reset' in Android before flashing any Firmware Image.​

It does appear to resolve the problem with people getting stuck after flashing a firmware image. Is there anyone with a locked bootloader prepared to try?

If my sd card is formatted as internal, will I need to reformat it every time I flash factory images or update via ota?
It would be wise to remove any mods.

Thanks. BTW, I already try with locked bootloader on XT1540 with zero issue. I always wipe data before flashing factory images.

@lost101 Any idea if the XT1540 - 2GB version image is available or will be available in the future?

My current understanding is that if one were to use the 1GB image, there are properties defined to indicate low ram for Android to more aggressively manage the usage; which isn't desired on the 2GB model.
