I'm not suggesting you to do so, but I can guarantee you my xt1540 is still working perfectly after I flash this firmware on it.
I did work for me, although it will show SIM 2, which is not available on our phones. I flashed back to 6.0 and waiting for the correct version
You should see a 2:nd SIM/network icon under quick settings

The second sim icon is not a problem at all. It's a way for the software to show that the second sim is not available.

You won't be able to downgrade the bootloader from 6.0.1 to 6.0
But on the correct firmware for 1541, the second SIM icon is not there at all. Which is how it should look on a single SIM phone

Yeah, I understand you. But any firmware for dual-sim will look like this on your xt1541

You can hide it on "System UI Tuner" option
And that second sim icon in quick settings will be not a problem
I use a Dual Sim ROM (stock) in my Single Sim phone, and this is no a major problem

A few days ago I encrypted my phone and for some reason I turned on the Switch Access on Accessibility, and after that my phone no longer asked for PIN on boot because of Switch Access, then I turned it off, after reboot, guest what!! ?? I got encryption unsuccessful! So be careful... I don't know if really was caused by that! XT1550 6.0.1 not rooted

Was going to flash this until I saw the 6.0.1 update notification. XT1541 6.0.1 GB (1GB) would be much appreciated.
Can we get the MPI24.65-33.1 firmware image of the brazilian 1GB XT1543?

While enjoying 6.0.1 xt1550 on my xt1540 Retail US 1G, I am waiting patiently on 6.0.1 for my xt1540 Retail US 1G.
Official roll out of 6.0.1 started in India via OTA for Moto G3 from today Morning.

Even after several tries it shows many errors in cmd.
