Help needed

Hey. Its nice that there is a website where I can download official S4 firmwares, but... The download time, sigh. Is there anyone who has latest OFFICIAL ks01lte NEE-edition on Google Drive etc.? Thank you, so much.

I just bought an old S4 very cheap in the US and want to use it in India. The phone is GT-I9506 and has baseband I9506XXUAMHD with Android 4.4.2. I would like to update it but the phone is "custom" it appears. When the phone boots, on the splash screen there are text messages on the top left corner about ROM version, reason for power on etc. It appears that someone had tried to root or put custom bootloader?

I had tried to do a software update but that was rejected saying that the software is custom. Now, what baseband firmware file should I download to use with Odin? I am completely brand new to all this. Should I get Germany ones? Or Australia or Nordic countries? Or it doesn't really matter like I9506XXUDOA6?

Yesterday I compiled CarbonROM for ks01ltexx, available in the forum now. Bugs: sound doesn't work (working on it, it was the first build so).
Android N. If you need Supersu you need to flash that as well.

Hi,

I currently have a S4 GT-I9506 that is rooted and with CyanogenMod 13.0-20160910-NIGHTLY-ks01lte.

I'd like to return back to stock factory settings and unroot it, wiping more or less the whole phone. How would I go about doing that? Been having a hard time finding information about this, as most threads seem to be for I9500 or I9505 variants of the phone.

Use Odin and just flash a stock ROM after you booted into download mode :)
If you have any questions just PM me.
I have a "backup" stock ROM, if you will, and now I run Jumbo ROM, 5.0.1 with the Note 3 camera (1080p60 filming and 4K)

I have an identical phone what Kernel and ROM did you get to work?
Thanks

You are correct this means that there is a custom rom installed. Personally my phone is rooted with a linage os rom and I would recommend linage os because of the wide support and the stock Android experience with extra customisation
