ROM organization and descriptions

This thread is a great idea! Thanks for starting this thread. I guess there are simply too many ROMs / threads around.

I wished that ROMs were organized a little better in general. Like:

* only one thread per custom ROM: e.g. only one "Ultimate HD" thread which contains all versions of the ROM (or references all other versions). I don't think a new thread for every new version / update makes sense

* part of the ROM-description should provide a unified format, like: Highlights of the ROM (things that are really unique to that ROM), base-project of the ROM (AOSP, CM, AOKP), bugs / not-working section

* maybe if 720p video recording is supported by ROM (i.e. kernel that comes with ROM)

This way I think it would be much easier to find a ROM that suits the individual taste and demands

Hey guys,

I might be a little off topic but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I'm looking for a fast and stable custom ROM for my xperia Arc S (LT18i), which one would be the best? (I'm a bit lost with all these roms) I don't care wether it's a GB, ICS or JB ROM I just want it to be stable and fast. I don't mind flashing a new kernel either even if I don't know yet how to do that on this phone.

Anyway thanks a lot in advance :).

Hey thanks mate!

I had already taken a look at that one and it looked promising :). (Had to search on your topic to find which version of android it was though ^^)

I just have a few questions:
- Which kernel should I use with this ROM? It says fusion v4.5 but there are newer versions of it. Should I use them?
- "720p Recording - flash 720p recording from downloads". Does it mean I have to use recovery menu to flash these .zip? (I only have experience with my old xperia x10 mini pro :p)

Thank you again :D.

ur welcome.
v4.5 is most stable than v5.5.
yes, download it and install from kernels recovery. (after flashing kernel, power off, then power on, push volume up when phone is vibrate or the notification led is on.)
if u have any question just ask.

Can anyone help me?

What is the best paid method to unlock BL, mine is not unlockable with Sony method (in services it says bootloader unlockable: No). I heard about several ways but can anyone give me the best, working guide?

I really want to try Jellybean custom ROMs...

Should I ask Alejandrissimo or Jinx? I heard they do it remotely, and it's cheap.
