Managed to get a Samsung zonal head's Samsung email id as well as CEO's Samsung email id from an "inside source", copy pasted the email content(along with the pics) that I sent to Samsung CC/service head earlier and sent to zonal head keeping CEO's id in CC. I did not forget to attach the junk email responses received from CC and service head's handle in the last few days.

To my suprise(kind of) within hours not only I got a positive response from that zonal head's side on call from a person acting as PA who was interested in knowing "what happened" with the received product, but also assured me of a quick return of the product and "fast processing" of refund once picked up. And then in few hours the status changed from "Return rejected" to "return pickup confirmed".

I hope no other issue the backend team brings up for a refund once product is picked up.
I'm ogling that case too :ROFLMAO:

How did you manage to get it so cheap? It's showing 5K for me...

While the above Samsung case retails at ₹2199,
this Spigen liquid crystal case currently sold at ₹974 in Amazon.in is actually superior/way better based on my own experience.
I used the Spigen liquid crystal for my S7 for nearly 2 years, and it was really nice overall - those clear cases still give the best grip for me. However, when I tried it for the S9+, I somehow didn't like it anymore due to becoming OCD with fingerprints/smudges.

Not at all, as per my experience and I don't really care how some youtubers are fond of this case.

No raised lips for the cameras, back is slippery and it's overpriced. I'm actually liking a few cases from spigen and ringke more +way cheaper.
Thank you for that input. You just saved me 5K!

I've already got the Spigen liquid air and i love the way it fits and feels, but i was bored of black, so wanted to try a camel colord cover...

Not sure why need to reference how "some youtubers" are fond or not - whether one likes a case is completely subjective. There is no perfect case out there (yet) - there almost always are pros and cons for each case for each individual person.

I completely agree it's overpriced for this leather case though - I would never pay for it with my own money. However, I'm finding the grip is actually decent especially after more use. The worst thing about the case for me is the "acceleration of dust gathering" over the 3x camera lens - this is obviously due to the case "individually" surrounding each lens and the 3x one happens to be the smallest, therefore dust tends to get trapped there easier. It's even more frustrating that it's quite hard to clean the dust off over this 3x lens, as it's a relatively small "hole" to access to wipe the dust away. I'm open to any suggestions to help with this haha.

It's definitely an OCD thing for me, as I don't actually see any practical issue when using the 3x lens even when it looks quite dusty over the lens.

Recording calls without consent is a breach of privacy.
- Delhi high court.

Food for thought:
- Call recording is important for various logical reasons and not necessarily related to legal stuff.
- An iPhone would have been a primary driver(for me) anyways if Samsung didn't support this in India.
It's 5 month old decision, Any new development?

Google Pixel 6a
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Earlier there was on CSC feature line had only call record, now it also includes desclaimer

Code:
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowedByMenu,disclaimer_india</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
So hopefully they won't remove feature but just added desclaimer
It's a disclaimer. What I'm confused at is where is consent here? Using a Samsung phone atleast the person at the other end is unaware of the fact that the cov. is being recorded, thus a "breach of privacy" afaik.

Best to just stay quiet and enjoy it while it lasts.

If it is officially declared illegal, legislation will force Samsung to disable it via next software update.

But if Samsung is still keeping it with on new phones and software updates, it's probably alright, or worst case, still in a grey area and not outright "go-to-jail" type illegal.

True this. I need call recording for all my official meetings, no need to take down any notes while on the move. My #1 reason of continuing with Samsung.

I mean if Samsung have decided to continue with keeping recording option with disclaimer then also fine, we can't publish it but still can use for personal use (mainly using as note taking)

2 downside i can think of - if you want to move your sim to any other phone, you cant without getting a physical sim. 2nd is if you format your phone for any reason, you will have to visit Airtel gallery for physical sim

Well this is pointless then. I do reset my phone after android version updates. Not sure but if we need a physical SIM in such scenarios, why would anyone opt for an eSIM. What are the advantages?
