In general I understand the drivers issue that we currently have with our 2x and the Tegra2 chipset. But isn't there any Tegra2 device out that has working drivers?

Or is this a matter of the 2x having too many specific LG hardware tweaks that a vanilla Tegra2 driver (if something like that exists) wouldn't suffice?

I don't know but I keep having the unscientific feeling that tegra2 being that gimmick that it was in the end after the launch (no proper hd decoding, lack of neon instructions, low memory BW) has something that misses that creates problems with ICS

Well IF we get ics as promised JB should be an easy port as it's been done elsewhere. In particular the One X with it's tegra3

hey, I'm new AND JB will be in rom lg optimus 2x?or only after ics? do not understand very much.

It depends on if you mean an official jellybean or a custom rom by cm and others.

Official I don't see it happening or if it does it'll be in 5-10 years (lg are really slow and mostly rubbish)

Custom rooted rom with jellybean its very likely it will happen just give the devs time.

Official JB release - we can dream about, we shouldnt hope to get too much from LG.

Once they release the official ICS, it will be a great help for the devs and I am pretty sure we will get a fully functional custom JB rom just within few weeks.

And for the time being, we can just wait till LG release official ICS. Sending rude messages, calling and shouting and asking for the official update wont do us any good. They will only release it once its done. (no idea how long it will take them)

Bwahaha, no chance for us.

Ah without LG and Nvidia sharing the love of full kernels and drivers, we'll be waiting for official releases before anything full speed and stable comes out.

chances of getting JB on O2X before 2014, .... in my opinion slim. giving LG track record for awesome release dates.

official JB will not happen on our phone, dont even start hoping for that. If it wasnt for many cries from...everyone, LG wouldnt even have decided to give us ICS..lol.

but not to worry, when we get ICS, getting JB will not be so hard as far as i know, nothing too major is changing, so i am pretty sure our wicked devs will cook something up with ics drivers

Aye, my guess on releases was based on an official release if one were to come out. im not hoping for anything. im happy with the rom / kernel pack i have at the mo. it does what i need and is stable for everyday use.

custom JB will be something to look forward to. i dont expect LG to help us any more with our phone. but i do know that the Devs here will kick some Excellent quality stuff out to the world.

full support to everyone here at XDA

Cm10 (Jelly Bean) had been announced but only after stable cm9. It seems that roll on shouldn't be long as cm9 was totally rewritten and changes are not tremendous.

See google + cm circle.

That is indeed good news. I read on a site that every phone that is now officially supported by Cyanogenmod's CM9, will also be officially supported for CM10 (JB). As our O2X is officially supported by Cyanogenmod's CM9, we will (of course if everything goes well), see an official CM10 build for our device.

But now we are in the middle of summer, so we will have to be a bit patient for the source code, and also development to progress. I'm just glad to see that our device is officially supported by CM's JB.

It would be fun to have a CM JB build before an official ICS build from LG :D

not gonna happen.

drivers dude. we need lg to release an official ics so the devs can get the driver blobs, then and only then we can start to see official cm9/10 nightlies for o2x.

there was some other reason why we dont have nightlies, but i forgot
