OP, thanks a lot for this useful and well done thread.
Just in case, i thought i'd drop by to let you know that i just installed Xposed framework update 84, which solves the conflicts with LG encrypted apps (weather).
It's now working flawlessly!
Maybe it would be nice to add this info and a link to Rovo's thread for power users who might be interested.

Version 84:

Added a warning in the Xposed log if a module isn't compiled correctly, i.e. the APK includes the Xposed API classes instead of just referencing them. Developers, see https://github.com/rovo89/XposedBrid...-Framework-API for how to do it correctly.
6.0 only: Added support for LG's encrypted apps, fixing crashes of their weather app/service.
6.0 only: Fixed crashes in Yandex apps, which were caused by an obviously unfinished AOSP commit.

I think you'd need to get the Verizon model unlocked first ... to my knowledge all US carrier specific models are SIM locked

Even if your phone is sim unlocked. Verizon and Sprint are on the CDMA network and T-Mobile and AT&T are on the GSM network. Two totally incompatible technologies. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Question to anyone here: Cam Plus compatibility. Is there any way around it? I have the H850 and a Canadian (CBG-720) Cam Plus. They obviously do not work... Which I find annoying/odd. And I don't want to order a Cam Plus from the UK just because LG can't be bothered with international support.

I can confirm that the VS987 variant will work with an AT&T sim. The Verizon network uses CDMA, but if you go through the different carrier network options they are all there. Phone calls and texting work just fine, but I am eagerly awaiting root and/or carrier unlock so I can start using mobile data again, which is the only thing that doesn't work.

Autoprime is the post you are quoting (OP), but I am 99% sure that you have the right link. I use the debloater tool. It is for your PC, not an app for your phone. You hook the phone up to the computer and the program uses ADB to disable apps. It is very easy to use. The only issue I had is that I have to set the phone to photo transfer mode to get it to communicate. Not sure why, but it works fine that way.

as i know verizon VS987 version factory unlocked for international GSM,
LG G5 LS992 will work with international GSM ?
i see on Ebay listing, he said "Globally Unlocked, works on CDMA, GSM and with international SIM"

Hi sir. Good eve to all, anyways i just humbly asking a little suggestion to any of u here. I am a totally noob by the way. Im new to LG and i am planning to buy this phone within this week. But as of reading in xda only h830 and h850 have a development. A little things bother me in my place i think and i believe only h860 is available(middle east). Now my question is, do i need to buy h860 and expect an improvement or development in this version, or should i find an h850/h30 version and go for that one??

i have my tmobile lg g5 stuck on boot logo and tried lgup and lgflash and can not seem to bring it to life ...any help will be appreciated...i can boot to download but it seem lgup dooes not read well my H830 and rather read it as H850..
