When i try to use uppercut, i can't use refurbished option.(my version is not suitable for refurbished) Also upgrade option stucks on %11 "0x2bc invalid command" Can you guys help me with that?

I have the F700S, and have used Honestly Annoying's root method, modified the build.prop so that LGUP now thinks it is a H850, flashed an H850 firmware and now it is unstable and unusable, and I can't flash back :)

What problems are you having with the F700 series ? I found that LGUP works normally with UPPERCUT, and the KDZ files are readily available on http://lg-firmwares.com/lg-f700s-firmwares/
Hi mate, I've f700k, how have you managed to root your device? Pls share, thnx

This happens when the KDZ/TOT/ROM flashed does not match the exact model/carrier of the phone hardware.
For example if you have a carrier version of the H850 and not an "OPEN EU" version... then if you flash an OPEN EU KDZ/ROM you would see this error.

With root this can often be fixed by deleting (or editing) the "cust" partition on the phone. Without root you cannot edit this and only flashing the proper KDZ would remove the "error". As far as I know the error is only cosmetic and will not effect much but it may remove certain custom carrier settings.

The non-root fix would be to flash the appropriate KDZ for your model/buyer/supplier.

Using an app such as this ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.peamoon.phoneproductioninfo ) you can find out the exact supplier/buyer for your phone which then would explain if you have a "carrier" or "open" variant as well as the specific region the phone is from... this would tell you the exact KDZ needed for that phone. "Open" variants are those who are only tied to a country.. "Carrier" variants are those who are tied to a carrier. For example, in Poland, the buyer/supplier code for OPEN variants is POL or POC which is for "Poland" or "Poland Common"... where as P4P buyer/supplier code is a Polish carrier version. If you flashed a H850 OPEN EU KDZ for POL/POC variants onto a H850 P4P variant you would have a error similar to what you are seeing.

Because you have not included enough detail in your post (mentioning the exact buyer/supplier of your H850 and the exact KDZ/ROM flashed) I can not answer your question with specific answers and it is on you to sort out.

Hello,

Thanks for your help!

I installed the app, and I got the following info:
Provider: VDS
Stolen information: NOTKOREAN

Actually, I bought this phone refurbished on AliExpress. Rooted it, used it a while happily, and now I'm trying to turn it stock again, for selling purposes.

Do you know where can I find the exactly ROM for this phone?

EDIT. I will try to flash H85020d_00_VDF_COM_OP_0329.kdz which is from VDS Spain.
@autoprime Flashed the VDS ROM from https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h850-firmwares/

The same message appears. :(

I have the same problem. I tried to flash every single firmware founded at xda without any luck. I think its related to Misc. i was stuck on twrp bootloop after OTA LineageOS and i execute two commands

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/soc/624000.ufshc/by-name/misc
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/soc/624000.ufshc/by-name/fota

and after that massage is there no matter what I do.

H860 root

Newbie question here regarding H860 root.
If the 2 ways of achieving root are:
1 via TWRP.
2 via an exploit( if cannot unlock bootloader)

Is uppercut not indeed an exploit? Can you not achieve root of the H860 by flashing superSU via LGUP with the risk of not being able to create a backup due to unlockable boot loader of the dual SIM H860?

Any in regard has anyone had any(or heard of any success stories) of achieving root via LGUP/Uppercut for the H860?
I'm only interested in achieving root not going back to stock or upgrading further if rooted.

Best regards,
Capadulla

Looks like no one know how to get rid of that message.
I could only get rid of this message by flashing the right version of the firmware (V20d, Vodafone branded ROM). I've tried other open EU versions but no success.

Please mention in the op that flasing this zip removes SU and recovery also. I've wanted to start recovery after installing this zip and erased all data, including media partition (internal storage). Plus this annoying message at start, so I've done a complete reflash from KDZ, twrp flash, re-root, restore data partition from twrp backup.

Where did you get this KDZ ROM?

Mine is VDS, but the ROM available on "LG firmwares" for VDS keeps splashing that message to me.

I've got it from LG Firmwares too. Are you sure that Vodafone is your phone's original provider? The sticker on my phone's box says VFD2, so originally my phone came from Netherland (I've bought it here in Hungary). I hoped that I could make the Vodafone branding disappear, so my first choice was an open EU ROM for my country, and it didn't work. Secondly I selected a Hungarian branded ROM with the same provider (VDH), and that worked. I haven't tried other countries. So try to check the sticker on the box and select the same provider (and/or same country, but in my case it worked with a different country/same provider combination).

The stock cust partition is restored to your phone when you flash the stock KDZ. Cust is in the KDZ file and would have been restored when you flashed the KDZ with LGUP. So it sounds like something else happened. Perhaps you should create a new thread for this issue and maybe others can give their input if they have a solution for this exact issue.

@autoprime Thank you very much for all the content and help. I've been reading the guides and unfortunately ran into an error I can't get past.

My hope was that by gaining root access I could monitor the battery consumption better using betterbatterstats to figure out why the G5's around me were blowing through the battery so quickly. After analysis, I wanted to re-root my device and turn it stock again.

I have the RS988.

While using LG Up to flash RS98811c_00_ARB01.kdz while in Firmware Update mode, I received an error at 10%. Now, the device will not go back to TWRP, or any other screen than Firmware Update and will not complete the Flash. Am I out of luck?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,I have RS988 version into which i put nougat KDZ from BRIGHTPOINT by uppercut. It seems to buggy and need to revert back to 11c. But with uppercut when i select the 11c kdz to flash it shows me a dialog box saying partition changed, do u want to continue. Saying yes to that gives me an error at 10 percent. Please help me solve this problem
