Has anyone noticed that when the Xperia Z has a very full internal storage the device lags?

I tested it out after clean installing the latest firmware and only setting up basic apps like whatsapp and so on. Once I put games and other apps on though the phone started to lag in general use.

This was not the result of open apps or excessive background apps. For me at least it seems related to data amount.

Hi, I'm facing lags too. I was just wondering what it is. Where do you see that internal storage is full ? I have still 8gb free on internal memory. I've seen that such lags get solved with a simple phone reboot. But can't really conclude on what is the cause of those lags... :/

Frankly i saw there was a slight slowness but no lags when memory full.. But isnt it obvious? Even a computer slows down when hdd is full..

I never noticed the lag although i got 5GB internal storage free but
i got a very hard time to open Clash Of Clan, always got kicked out of game when loading bar is nearly half.
why? 2GB of RAM doesn't enough or Internal also effect this situation?

Just check under Setting>Storage. When I have large game files, even after a reboot of my device I've had noticeable lag throughout the UI. This includes when I have in excess of 4GB storage free. I will be testing some more to see because in my case it could be an issue with the flash memory used in my handset and not necessarily a software issue.

I just have the update of 10.5.1.A.0.283 on my Xperia-Z, When my phone connect to my car by bluetooth and play music. After an call and the music back for 2 second and the Walkman go on pause. Is it normal? Anybody have the sample problem? And the problem of Android 4.4 SD card read only access wasn't resolve...

No towelroot does not work on 4.4.4 for the Xperia Z but it works on the 4.4.2 firmware.

I have the same problem with Clash of Clans. Doesn't append all the time. But I just started the game. Do you mean the new FW responsible for that ?

I have updated since the day it came out and have been testing it ever since. The update is waaay better than before, especially when it comes to (not) lagging. This rom also does a way better job with the battery and the 'heat' (I used Paranoid Android for a few months)... I don't have any wifi nor camera problems.

Here's a screenshot I made of my battery: I stopped charging it at 10 am yesterday (Sunday... ), ended with about 60 % before going to sleep at midnight and it's now 9:40 pm and it's almost dead. It really lasted long Had it connected to smartwatch and Walkmate was on the whole time.

I think so because i never had this problem before (4.4.2 or 4.3).
CoC runs well before the new update.
Maybe i'm wrong, hope someone could correct me.

Based on your experience, are you happy with this update? is it better than 4.3 or 4.2?

I have a problem.. After i updated to latest firmware, i got "could not save" error when trying to capture some photos. I use original sony camera app, and i choose storage "sd card". If i change to "internal storage" and problem has gone. But i want to use sd card and actually i used on old firmwares with sd card fix.

Is there anyone got this error or is it just happen to me? And how can i fix it? Any help would be great, thanks.

Edit: Finally i found a solution. Any app on play store for sd card fix not work on 4.4.4. I know they are working on 4.4.2 and i used it also but not for 4.4.4. And i find "HandleExternalStorage" module on XposedInstaller. And now i have full access to the sdcard.

Hi,i use that module and everything works fine on mine,maybe you did something wrong!
See if there is an update to that module.

After upgraded to 4.4.4, my phone's touch screen does not responding when I wake up my phone
I have to press the power button a few times to get it work.

I have done the factory reset already, anyone has idea?

Couldn't agree more! Only things I miss from official firmware is MHL connection and little less the official camera. Anyway now we have MultiROM available with last firmaware .283, so I use as daily driver CM11 and if I need MHL I can switch to Sony's firmware in less than a minute.

I upgraded to 4.4.4 via Sony OTA; immediately lost root access (duh) and ability to write to SD card. Worse still, battery drain was extreme and the phone wouldn't charge fully. I did a factory reset and followed kingvortex's excellent instructions to flash an older version and regain root. Everything seems fine now, so maybe it was just time for a clear out.
