Hello All,

Here is Drew Garin's ICS AOSP builds on his main site, it comes in two flavours:
No onscreen buttons and, onscreen buttons.

The onscreen buttons build is the same experience you will have on the Galaxy Nexus. Drew states that this build it more stable, and recommends this build if you want a solid ICS experience.

The no onscreen buttons build works as you would expect. It takes advantage of the Nexus S hardware buttons.

I will quote everything from his site below

What Works:
Nearly Everything!
USB and ADB
3G Data
Audio
Hardware Accel
Camera, Panorama
GPS (Unconfirmed currently I’m in a 13 story brick building)
Face Unlock
Wifi
Bluetooth
Tethering and Hotspot
Data Usage
NFC
Pretty much everything

Not Working:
Camcorder
Not all applications are currently compatible with ICS on Crespo. As a work around you can always use appbrain or download from the internet.

Download With On Screen Buttons (Overall Stable):
mirror 1: http://www.multiupload.com/BWE16F2YTH
mirror 2: dg-ics-on-screen

Download No Buttons (Experimental):
mirror 1: http://www.multiupload.com/TESISLS5MV

No Button Build Issues:
Tethering and Hotspot Does Not Work
There May Be Some Other Issues
On Screen Is More Stable

GITHUB: (link coming soon when all sources are up)

Kernel Credit Of: Kwiboo (for the time being until my kernel is done)
Wifi and Bluetooth Fix Credit: Kwiboo

Install Instructions:
Boot into Clockwork Recovery
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik
-install from zip
-reboot and enjoy!!

Notes:
Do not turn on 2D acceleration on in settings -> developer.
In spare parts turn off compatibility mode and restart for downloaded apps to work better in ics.
Need a root explorer like tool? I suggest using jrummy’s root browser.
The On Screen Button Version doesn’t lag as much and provides that ICS smooth scroll you wish to see.

It should be noted!!!
1.I did not have any part in creation of this, all credit goes to Drew Garin, I suggest you visit his site for full details (Linked above).
2.Lets keep this civil, I'm sharing here on XDA to give us full exposure of all ICS roms.

I for one want to keep this thread civil.

If you don't like drew, don't donate, don't download his build, and don't post in this thread.

That aside I'm eager to see if scrolling has improved over kwiboo's version. Because other than that, kwiboo's is pretty damn near perfect.

Been running this the last 15 minutes, a bit laggy (compare to Kwiboo's).

Now we have 7 buttons on the phone.

I flashed the hardware buttons version... Seems to run as you would expect.

Now time to try the on screen buttons version (even though it seems a bit redundant to me)

I like Kwiboo's better, but I have no choice but to use this - I had problem with Kwiboo's as I can't install any apps from sd card from file manager or TB nor my apps will auto restored. So I will continue to test drew's rom - is not that bad.

He probably used Kwiboo's rom and tweaked it.

    topic sanitized

okay, all junks, off topic, unnecessary comments removed

if anyone is going to spam this topic again, you'll automatically earn an infraction

We're aware the guy compiling the code is banned from XDA, this is just an INFO topic by a fan, as such it does not count as Development.

You can simply ignore it, or if it tickles your curiosity you can try it on for size in your phone.

    All,

This thread has been reported to us. Looking through it there are breaches of our rules in several posts, which is regrettable.

The moderating team will now review and determine the best way forward. In the meantime the thread will be closed until we have had the opportunity to address the various issues here.

    Many thanks.
