I'm really impressed how patient you are and explain the same things 100 times ;)

Thumbs up
Maybe I should write some wiki pages for the Xperia Z when I have the time, because currently the wiki for Xperia Z is non-existent :)

I think a wiki could be more efficient to find basic, well-structured information and guides about stock firmware, rooting, unlocking bootloader etc.

The first post says 253 is the lastest. But PC Companion says there's an update and is downloading it now. Wonders what I am getting...

No new build. Just the customization version got updated from 1270-4975_R8A to 1270-4975_R9A.
Hmmz. You were right. What's the point of the update if it's only for the customization version?

So if i understand correctly this means that T-Mobile NL Xperia Z's are getting 4.2.2 at the moment?

I can't post links, because: Newb

But the custumization is: 1270-3839
And the fuas page says version: 10.3.A.0.423

Edit: 4.2.2 is out for T-mobile NL brandend Z's

As soon as I'm home, I'll download it with PC Companion, create an FTF and upload it here :)

Can't imagine that he was right... He is the one and only Tweaker that tells us that... With his 8 posts on Tweakers.net I doubt it...
(and why on earth will be there a T-mobile update faster than a Generic one, something I also can't understand and what I really really doubt)

True, but trying the method as mentioned by OP of checking version in the browsers also gives 10.3.A.0.423 t-mobline nl as the latest firmware version.

(If it wasn't clear: I am Kinger7 from tweakers.)
