Quite interesting how much the voltages changed compared to the 2 year old Nexus 4 with its 4 1.5GHz Krait 300 cores despite both being manufactured on a 28nm TSMC node.

According to the voltage table in the OP my SD 805 needs 680mV at 300MHz, 840mV at 1.5GHz and 1020mV at 2.6GHz.
In comparison, the old SD S4 Pro in the Nexus 4 needs 850mV at 380MHz and 1150mV at 1.5GHz.

The manufacturing process has changed despite keeping at 28nm. If I am not mistaking the S4 pro was made in LP TSMC and since the Snapdragon 800 it used HPM. Aslo there have been improvements in the architecture of the SOC.

Exactly.
I'd love to see how TSMC's 28nm HPM compares to Samsung's 20nm process though.
