Input selection

I'm wondering why every so often I get a notification in my notification bar asking me to choose my input method...

I thought this was a bug with my last phone because ics wasn't native on it ot was ported to it and I only got that notification when I tried an ics rom but it happens with my Maxx also its a brand new Verizon cdma with 4.0.4 from the store all I've done is root it so far

Any ideas?

in input settngs there is an option for input popup/notifiction or changer
which is that, i always turn it off

Remove any pre/installed keyboards except the one you're using so there's only one keyboard left. I did this and never got the input selection notification again.

It happens with the factory keyboard though.... I'll try though, removing swipe?
