insane battery drain, need help!

Ok so i bought this phone recently and as soon as i got it i rooted it and flashed the android revolution hd 3.6.5 rom. Now my battery life is just stupid lol. I dont even get 4 hours without having to charge the phone. Like lets say i turn on the phone right now i watch a clip i recorded with the cam, a video of like 30 45 seconds long and the battery drops 10%. I have my brightness set to the lowest. wifi is on all the time plus my data connection, gmail sync is on. I havent done anything other than flashing the screen animations. I dont know if is this rom or the phone itself since i only used the phone like for 10 mins with the stock rom. i followed the instructions and did every step as stated. any suggestions will be appreciate it. also why is my up time same as the awake time?

ok so i just saw the deamon controller app, heres what it says,
wake state settings
wake min 384000
wake max 1512000,
wake gov ondemand.

sleep state settings
sleep min 192000
sleep max 384000
sleep gov conservative

apply cancel and bypass

Sounds like a bad app. Do you have any installed that seems a bit sketchy?

Hi. This Rom has moded kernel. I recommend to use XE stock Rom from EddyOs. Search for it. I always recommend it, because until now didn't disappoint me. I'm using my phone about 14 hours heavy usage every day.

Why don't you just give faux 0.24r a chance since you just flashed it?
I only have good experience from Faux's kernels (Faux R.U.L.E.S!!)

I'm on Hypersensation 0.8f with just that kernel (eh, almost, the one for cm7/aosp), and I'm currently
at 40% battery with a bit more than medium use (some texts, a couple of calls and ALOT of the scrabble-clone Wordfeud) in 19 hours and 30 mins.
I have no extra over/underclock/voltageapps installed, just set cpuclock
to min. 192 and max 1080.
My screentime is 3 h 7 mins, wifi 11 h 38 mins so far.

Pretty good if you ask me.
And I'm only on the first batterycycle (you need at least two or three
cycles before evaluating batterytime, and before charging let the battery drain to to a couple of % below 15).
I read somewhere in dev-section that after every ROM/Kernelchange
to charge overnight and then boot into recovery and in advanced reset battstatts and after rebooting do your normal use-thingy.
That should do the trick.
Me myself have never tried that procedure because I have never suffered
from strange batterydrain.

Try to find 3.6.1. That worked great for me. I'm flashing back in the morning. I may have it somewhere if you need it, pm me. There's something wrong with it and no one can figure out what it is.

Might be something simpler than that. I had the same problem and changing kernels etc. never fixed it.

Turns out sometimes when you install a rom the battery becomes uncalibrated and the phones starts to think it's only 10% charged when it's actually much more.

1. Plug the phone in while turned on. Leave till fully charged.

2. Unplug phone. Shut phone down. Plug it back in. Chances are, with the phone off it'll start charging again (orange).

3. When fully charged again (green) unplug the phone, boot into recovery and reset battery stats. If don't have a recovery installed skip that bit I think it should still work.

Hopefully that's the right fix cos it's the easiest!
