Insert SIM Error !!! please help

Hi,
i have been getting and insert SIM error, on the HD T8282.

I tried the normal soft and hard reset, but no help.
I have tried many different sim cards/ carriers.

Although it did work in between once.. with no issues....an then when i restarted my device it came up with the same error.

you think its a loose connection inside and i need to send it back to HTC for warranty?

i even tried playing around with the different BANDs in the phone settings... did not help

any help would be great!!!!
