How To Guide Install ColorOS 12 C.36 Stable Android 12 on Oneplus 9 & 9 pro

What country are you in m8? I can't get ColorOS to work, I mean no network... Germany, LE2123.

I tried following a few "tutorials" around here as some did manage to work it out, but I always end up with no Network.

It's quite simple. You just have to be on beta one, then download ColorOS c36

Notification Alert sound is gone for many applications.

Try to play with the settings. Still do the same.

My phone is LE2123, Europa. And i did not get any updates. For me Oxygen Updater, shows only Oxygen OS updates, witch now are useless to me.
With Local Update you DON'T loose anything. It's like do a incremental.
I did this 2 times:
- from ColorOS C.36 to C.38;
- from ColorOS C.38 to C.39.

Notification sound works for me, for Whatsapp at least.
For Gmail, not. When i open the app, it floods with all email i got recently, unread.
For me is not a big problem.

very strange so reflash back to oxygen 11 then to the oxygen 12 C36 for now

i just cant stand no sound notification for my app. (message-Gmail-many other apps)

when I'm on the color os C36 is fine it happens after upgrade to the C39 .

for daily use i stay with C36 oxygen 12 for now until they come out with a stable color 12


i miss the
floating app on the smaller window
theme store
UI are slightly better on the color os
UI motion feel little better ?? maybe ?

im wonder if im on the oygen C36 if upgarde to the color os C39 do i keep my data

OK, So If any One Interested in Installing Stable ColorOS 12 C.36 on Global Units here I have a small guide for Installation.

Steps to Install ColorOS 12 C.36 Stable Android 12 on Oneplus 9 & 9 pro : ​

• Make Sure you are running OxygenOS 12 open beta 1/2 : Download OxygenOS 12 open beta 1
• Download Local update application : Download
• Install Local update apk on OxygenOS 12 open beta 1/2.
• Download ColorOS 12 C.36 : ColorOS C.36 12 Stable, Note: Official Servers are Slow, Join our Telegram group we can provide mirrors/fast downloads.
• Place ColorOS 12 C.36 zip file internal storage, Make sure you don’t place file in any folder.
• Open Local update app which was installed in that tap on gear Icon on right top corner – Select local update & Select file.
• Once done reboot & Enjoy ColorOS 12 Stable update.

Note: You can’t Install OxygenOS 12 open beta if you are running latest version of OxygenOS 11.2.10.10, you need to Downgrade to OxygenOS 11.2.8.8 or OxygenOS 11.2.9.9.

no, unfortunately. you need to downgrade to oos 11, then update to oos 12 beta 1, eventually install oos 12 c40

I got this strange behavior too and I solved it by toggling off some "background run" authorizations of not really necessary apps and allowed the one that were needing accessibility options.
I'm still unsure about the thought process that led to that development decision, but it seems that ColorOS 12 is preventing you from running more than just a few apps.

Personally, I hide it through Nova Launcher options, as you cannot remove it through ADB.

Is it safe to remove google contact.?

Actually, the one you believe is a ColorOS version is a default android package (if we are talking about the same one). Check the package name's with a file explorer (like Solid Explorer).

I didn't try this specific sync, but you can always save your contacts on your phone and store a backup of them on your Google account. I'm not sure it's what you asked for, though.
The app, in the end, just reads and displays those datas.
