How To Guide Install Google Mobile Services (GMS) on EMUI 11 or Harmony OS 2.0 W/O rolling back to EMUI

Search This thread
Hi,

I'm using Mate XS and am having the same issues as the users above. Google account does not show up in settings after uninstalling MicroG. Is there a fix for this?

This method is my last attempt before I give up on this phone and send it back.
make sure you do NOT skip any steps, if you click continue, you will be asked to uninstall "MicroG – Huawei Fix EloyGomezTV". Once you notice the Google account is not showing up, the trick here is using the <<<Multi Task Manager (phone function: square icon at the bottom of your phone or swipe up depends on your navigation settings) and return to "MicroG – Huawei Fix EloyGomezTV">>>, ensure that you are ***NOT*** going back to main screen then click "MicroG – Huawei Fix EloyGomezTV" from the main screen; you should be able to see the CANCEL after returning from the Multi Task Manager.

I'm confused. You say that from Multi Task Manager I need to ensure that I'm NOT going back to main screen...but then I need to click Micro G from the main screen? And Google account disappears after MicroG is uninstalled so wouldn't the app not show up in Multi Task Manager? Or should I not uninstall MicroG?

Is it possible for you to upload a short 30 second clip of you doing this so everyone can see exactly?

sorry for the confusions, do NOT go back to main screen and re-enter MicroG from the main screen; use the Multi task manager instead. If this is not clear enough, let me know.

Hello, i need help.
I reach point Number: 22 ("22. Go to “Settings”---“Users & accounts”, click “Google”, and then click “your account”, turn on all the sync options".)
and on my mobile I don't have any google account.
And I continue the process and it doesn't work.
I've already uninstalled it and replaced it several times from the factory and nothing.
Can anyone help?
mine is the P40 pro EMUI 11
Thanks

please review the comments between #41 - 44, if that does not resolve the issue, the method may not suitable for your device due to regional versions.

Hi,
I installed gms on Mate X2, everything working fine (deactivate and uninstall lzplay and googlefier). Now I want to add more google accounts and I can't (it's working until you enter the password and after it's saying that the account can't be added).
How to add multiple google accounts now?
Thank you.

Unfortunately, this method did not work with the Mate XS. I'm not sure why but I'll be sending it back.

Real shame as it is a spectacular phone.

Hiya, the play store works fine. But it always says Can't connect to the internet once you click on Manage your google account inside the store.
It happens as well as in setting-->Google--->Manage your Google Account
Will be great if you can have a look at my reply.
Many thanks

Had gone through articles in English, Japanese and Chinese and my countless time of trial. My personal conclusion was enlightened by a line in a Chinese post, said that P50 Pro shipped with HarmonyOS2 preinstalled shall encounter the same problem. So,
Unless some capable persons do some further twist on the files posted to fix it, otherwise, further tries will be endless transmigration.

You can find the video instructions in the following:
    part 1 video:
    part 2 video:
Video of successfully installed Google apps:

This method has been tested on the following devices running on Harmony OS 2.0:

In the video, I am showing you how to Install Google Mobile Services (GMS) directly on Huawei Harmony OS 2.0 without rolling back your devices to EMUI 11 / 10 or even earlier. (this video is using Mate X2 - the foldable OLED screen as an example).

    Preparation:
    1. Download the ZIP file (if the links are no longer working, let me know
    or

    2. Copy folder “GMS” onto your phone at step 8 in the instructions
    3. Copy folder “Huawei” onto a USB-C storage device for restore backup purpose
    4. Copy folder “PC_platform” onto to your computer (recommend saving it onto C drive root directory and rename it to “111” for easy navigate later on

    Step by Step instructions:
    1. Factory Reset your device (phone/tablet), ensuring it is in clean condition

    25. Go to “Settings”---“ Users & accounts”, click “Google”, and then click “your account”, you should be able to see all the syncs are successful
    26. Return to home screen, click “PlayStore” (WARNING: DON’T get too exciting and do NOT stop here. This is NOT done yet, otherwise I am sure you will see lots of errors while using the device. Do NOT even try to do anything until you finish this guide). Search and install “device id” which is the one from VtechSevi but not other developers, open “device id” once done, check if you can obtain the Google Service Framework (GSF) number

Go to “Settings”---“Apps & services”---“Apps”---search keyword “Goo”, click the “4 docks” located at the right top corner”, select “Show system processes”, select “Google Service Framework”----“FORCE STOP” (if it goes blue again, keep forcing it stop until it is grey), then click “Storage”---“CLEAR DATA”
    32. Press the power button---Restart your device---after finish restarting, wait for at least 2 mins to ensure the startup is done before moving to the final steps
    33. Go to“Settings”---“Apps & services”---“Apps”---search “Google Play services”, click “UNINSTALL”, you will be in “device administrator, then click “DEACTIVIATE AND UNINSTALL”
    34. Go to “Files” and install “05.GPlayServices2”
    35. Return to main screen, restart your device and wait for at least 2 mins until the startup is done
    36. Open “Play Store”, check if it is working fine
    37. GMS installation is done

NOTE: if you fail to follow the instructions, Go to “Googlefier”, select “05…” then restart the device and continue to start from step 19. The worst case, factory reset and re-do the entire processes again.

    Good luck and enjoy!!!

Ps. When I add the google account there is no "CANCEL" button coming up on the screen returns directly to the googlefier app and the 1st option disappears.

    Hey XDA,

Anyone else just suddenly getting: this device isn't play protect certified

I can't get rid of it, tried reinstalling google Play services etc.
Yes, this happened earlier this week.

    Here is the solution

The easiest way is to go to the destinated folder (111) and hold shift and right click. Then click on "open PowerShell/CMD here"

If it opens PowerShell, simply type "CMD" and hit enter and you're in CMD
Then you can proceed with uninstalling the backup app
    Thank you, it works :)
