Install official global rom and keep root/twrp/unlocked bootloader

Hello guys
I have downloaded official miui 9 from xiaomi forum
But I want to keep my root and my recovery
How do I that?
I figured out if I install via miflash and no select the option (at bottom) “flash all + lock"
And after that I just enter fastboot and flash twrp again and root from there “like always"
Will that work?
