I just got my Hermes last week. After reading the thread about The Core Player working with acceleration I was quite excited to get it going. I tried installing it and realised that it is locked to my old phone. I emailed them thinking they would send me a new code since they don't have ttcode.com type site. This is the reply:-
Hello,

Thank you for writing to the CoreCodec Support Group.

Transfering the CorePlayer Mobile license to another device is not allowed at this time. Your license is for the original device that it is was installed on (this is why we ask the device type at the time of purchase). In later 1.xx versions, we will offer the ability to purchase a 'transfer license' as an option within your Core Account. However, this will occur untill we integrate our advanced CoreNumber system into the CorePlayer framework.

I only bought it 4 months ago! I know it's only $20 but everything else I've bought for my Prophet is transferable to my new Hermes.

Did everyone else have to buy it again?

yes - see some of the XDA live threads in the Hermes section - There is a cab with the last free version - if you also apply Sleuths fix for the ATI issue then it seems to work a treat (also in the Hermes section)
