Problem with head unit Fuse
Hello,
i have a head unit rk3066 with the touch screen no buttons, after a few months fm radio part stops working no pickup of stations and no sound static or play station music and no search of stations there is nothing to receive.
i have this problem with a stock rom also, to fix this fm problem a flash the stock rom and fm radio works for a few months.
last week same and the stock rom didnt fix it so i try fus rom 1.00 better head unit and radio fm oke all stations etc
just for 1 day fm radio dead also on the fuse 1.01 .
i tryed all mcu 2.16 2.58 2.73 and 2.86 nothing. is the fm radio a board in radio of a chip? but the fuse is a great piece of software i have now 6.5 gb in the unit instead of the 1 gb stock
is there anybody for to fix this now,--- i have now (L0L) a very expensive mp3 player in car.

Did you check al the connections to the radio module ? Sometimes the earth comes off, also, there are several radio tuner types in factory settings, have you tried them all ?
well i have not puth the radio out of car and opened it, now i am thinking maybe this ground cable did come loss i follow the mtcb tread for a while and saw the pic of lose ground .
i thought much deeper software or chip,
i will saturday get unit out and open it to see.

inside is a casing soldered to another casing
So how to go further open the 2 boxes or take board out completly?
or leave it as it is and buy usb dab+ module with a rtl driver?
i saw one at ebay for about 24 euro
because soldering the antenna connecter or the other part out i maybe do more damage to the board i think

Nope the 2 aluminum rectangle are the only visible items the left one is soldered (ground) to the antenna connector.
To see more i have solder them out and open them. but i think thats not a good idea

Most likely your problem is due to the unit losing radio chip info at boot. Enter factory settings (use password 126) and try to change the radio to a different one.
Right, if nothings visibly wrong then leave it.
I ve assumed you are using the correct radio tuner setting in factory settigns, as @m00n61 says, try all of the ones in factory settings and see if the problem goes.
i tryed all ..TDA7706 is standard will try it again
is there for the fuse rom maybe a script that leaver the radio at the TDA7706 setting.
the strange thing is that all fm stations where there and 9 ours later none (with installing fuse)
i installed even mcu 1.16 now and then it says music stops goes out i press music and start again normally i will install mcu 2.86 and return to TDA 7706
i will get back with info
i thank everybody for support.
it a great thing if every thing works and with the fuse its even better

Theres nothing for the ROM re the radio because its MCU controlled.
What unit do you have / Most KLDs can be updated to the MTCC KLD v2.98 MCU which saves stations.
I have the JY unit and i think KLD can not be installed or is there a JY 2.98
i have the JY 2.73 normally installed

If you have JY you cannot install KLD MCU. XposedMTC will save radio stations though.
well the stations where all there only no sound

Question: The first fuse Rom 1.00 does not have a build in MCU? will a install the 1.00 ROM instead of ROM 1.01
And MCU 2.73 or 2.86? higher number of mcu maybe not better
Second what do you mean with exposedMTC i have not fully used the rom because i have the FM trouble.
Is there explanation about the exposed MTC (manual) googled but did not find briefly something.

ROMs and MCUs are entirely separate - no ROMs have "built in MCUs".
XposedMTC is an app that will make your unit save radio stations among other things., you need to install the Xposed framework and root your unit.

Okay i have build unit back in car
Put MCU 2.72 back changeed the radio band from something back to mid western regio applyed it
application of radio TDA 7786 alpply it
and reboot unit all stations are there sound okay. then i turned ignition key off, i wait more as 30 sec everything gone no stations and no sound well the frequenty of stations is on the buttons but no radio noise.
have this unit more then a year never have problem with power car can stay on fore long time and car starts also in the morning
do the fuse ask for a differnt wire for power to keep the staions there its a factory plug in the car and connets normally to wire plug of unit.
its like shutting down power the problem appears?
it looks like when sutting down power for unit more then 30 sec something is erased in unit maybe i must switch wires in plug to get a constant power but this is strange because from first day getting unit in car it whas good
