I'm curious why this has not been brought up...It appears with Custom ROMs we can have apps install direct from Play store to removable sd. We just need to properly partition the removable sd : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158993 .

I am actually looking into this practice. Does Shostock v4 not support such thing?
Also, folks who do partition their removable sd seem to favor amonRA over CWM...

Can someone shed some lights on this?
There's no reason to install apps to SD on this phone unless you have such a rediculous amount of apps you manage to fill the internal storage.

A2SD originated, as was said above, for devices with little internal storage. On my HTC Aria for example I partitioned my SD for an ext partition for apps because the internal storage on that phone was extremely low. Apps to an ext partition however is not the same as what a lot of ROMs have built in. Apps2ext allows for widgets and basically moves your /data/app partition to the sdcard ext partition. ALL apps work for this type of apps2sd as the phone has no idea the apps are on the sdcard. Which means you don't get to choose which apps go to the ext partition. Its all or nothing in that case.

But again, even that is pointless on these phones with all our internal storage which is more efficient than using any sdcard.

Alright, point taken. App can stay on the internal SD. How about forcing app data to external SD? I guess rom can't make that distinction. Is that why the rise of Directory Bind?

That makes more sense with the huge amounts of data a lot of games are bringing with them now.
