Internal Storage Reporting

Yesterday I got a 32GB Xperia XA1 Ultra. After setting it up, I checked the internal storage in settings, it reported 10.4 GB used out of 32 GB. This makes sense, however when I connected the phone to my laptop (Windows 10) via USB, it reported the total phone drive size to be only 23.2 GB. I downloaded an app that analysis the storage drives and it also reported 23.2 GB. I don't think the phone is a fake because I check it with Sony and they confirmed that it is still under warranty and that the IMEI is legit.

I am a bit puzzled because when I connect my 64GB Galaxy S8+, the laptop reports the full capacity of the internal drive correctly (64GB). Please let me know if anyone else noticed this discrepancy in their Xperia XA1 Ultra phones.

Probably has to do with partitions and the 23 something being what is left after what is reserved for system use

So you think windows is not reporting the system partition. Does your phone reports the same as mine?

I am on Linux now so I would not be able to tell you how windows reports unfortunately
