Having run the touchnooter 1.1 beta5 on my NST, I have most things working, but a couple of things are broken:
  • If I open the stock browser, and go to google search, it closes as soon as I touch the search box (when I would normally expect the keyboard to open).
  • When using kindle app, if I try to buy a book by selecting 'one click', it just goes back to the store, the book isnt bought.
  • If I do a sync with gmail app open, it closes (thought it does sync, so I can reopen fine).
  • kobo app (UK bookstore app), gets stuck trying to download books. When a book finally comes down, and I try and open it, I can see the book open, but an error pops up - we couldn't open this item... and it closes again.

Has anyone else come across anything like this after rooting their nook?
Thanks,
Matt

Everyone's browser is broken. I recommend going to the Opera site, downloading opera mobile, find some way to get that on to your nook ( I found just dropping it onto the root of the nook as you plug it in to your computer ), browsing to that folder with ES file explorer, and opening the .apk.

*phew, that was long.

heh! I already installed opera. I was wondering about the other problems though. I'm sure others are using kobo, and should I be able to buy books on kindle (I can buy them fine through a browser so still get books)...
thanks

Having something similar, running TouchNooter 2.1.31. The Kobo app adds books to my library, but when opening any book, the screen goes black, no message, then drops back to the library.

Have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Kobo app. Same results.

On a possible related note, searching the Market now just sits on the search screen.

Thinking re-rooting may fix these? If so, should the device be wiped and re-registered?
