I really don't know, they came with the atf application....
So that was the unsigned Qualcomm bootloader.

The ATF box has the facility to write directly to the memory card of the Lumia 800, therefore it can write the unsigned Qualcomm bootloader.
It can do so because the Lumia 800 has special test points and when you open up the case, you can connect cables to the phone board and write dirrectly to the memory.

Unfortunately.

There are two ways to go forward.

One, get into contact with local phone unlockers that have the ATF box and can unlock the Lumia 800. Give them some money, get your phone unlocked!

Two, find a bug in the Lumia 800 software so that you can get administrative access and write the Qualcomm bootloader at the correct location on the phone memory.

Or maybe sign the qcomm bootloader (i don't know why unfortunately) as happened on the 710.....

is it signed or unsigned? and why does this make a difference. and if it is signed, is it really that simple by only selecting it in Nokia Care Suite and let the software do its thing? is there no other solution to get the file signed?

There were some Lumia 710 phones that came with a signed Qualcomm bootloader. So, this bootloader was extracted, and it was possible to be easily written back to DLOAD Lumia 710 phones, using the Nokia Care Suite.

The Lumia 800 phones that are locked (DLOAD), are not accessible and you cannot write arbitralily to the internal memory card. So, you cannot change the bootloader. The DLOAD Lumia 800 phones have a special facility for firmware updates that ONLY accepts signed components like a signed bootloader.

Do my warranty void if I install custom ROM
It depends on what is says on your warranty form.
Even if it the warranty says no, it is up to the Nokia Service Centre whether they are happy to fix your issue.
If the phone happens not to boot at all, then they will not know that there is a custom ROM on it anyway...

In any case, if you want to experiment with cool custom features on your phone, then don't buy Windows Phone.

Is safe to downgrade from official 7.10.8858.136 to qualcomm bootloader?
Sorry if I posted this on the wrong place I'm new here.
You need special hardware in order to switch to the Qualcomm bootloader. It costs about 150€, and requires to open up your Lumia 800.
Or you can contact a local unlocking company so that they can do this for you for a small fee.

The Nokia Lumia phones are generally locked and it is difficult to get full access. This is a consequence of the strict control from Microsoft and Nokia. Your (and my) next phones should be running Android or something similarly open.

hlp plzzzzz

I'll flash that Lumia 710 firmware over my Lumia 800 to change the firmware then.
Then I'll flash a standard Lumia 800 firmware (minus bootloader) over that.

Should work right?

Are you sure your bootloader was actually locked (DLOAD) before?
Not all Lumia 710 firmwares have the new bootloader. So you could have flashed the new 12050 and it wouldn't have changed your existing bootloader (keeping it unlocked).
i have lumia800 7.8 dload any solution to flash or jailbreak it plzz help with detail...my facbk email is [email protected],,,plzzzz hlp
