Hi, I'm joining the community because I had a Samsung Tab A T380 lying around and wanted to try rooting it. I found a lot of helpful guides here that looked promising but they are a bit out of date now and it hasn't gotten me all the way through to rooting my tablet (I have TWRP installed successfully and flashed Magisk-patched boot.img, I can boot to system but the Magisk app doesn't recognize that Magisk is installed).

I've searched many guides in and outside of XDA and tried different methods to get my tablet working but I'm stumped now and will be around asking for help. I hope I can get my tablet rooted so I can share my experience and hopefully help someone else out there trying to root their tablet.

Hi all
I'm a geriatric ex-pat Brit living in Thailand and trying to get to grips with a NAS setup which has led me to your site.
Been playing with computers since I was a youngster of 40 and loving every minute of it .... now I'm retired I can spend as much time as I like in front of my screen ... I still like learning and find as I get older there's so much more out there that there are not enough hours in the day.... At least I don't get bored

Jednak od Was - XDA Team - dzieli mnie galaktyka ;). Dziękuję za przyjęcie mnie w swoje szeregi. Obecnie chcę trenować w #PYTHON i rootować SG A10 SM105.

Hello everyone. My name is Victor and I'm a software engineering student. I'm into Android development and so far I was doing "classic" stuff like displaying lists, bottom navigation and so on. But, right now I'm working on an app that requires root. For that I was already browsing this site a couple weeks ago, trying to understand how to root a device. I mean, before getting into Android development, I didn't even knew what adb is. About rooting stuff I'm still a noob, but I hope I can learn a lot from a great place like this.

Hello all;
I believe this is the first time I have introduced myself. I am Jeff, a avid user of the many resources xda has to offer; still finding information that never new existed. I believe is one of the most accurate and most informed, friendly group to help with most of your phone needs, slowly realizing that there just not phone guys/gals.
I like to tinker, and expand my realm of where I'm allowed to be within an OS. I really appreciate the knowledge that I can find here and should probably thank more than I do as well as donate. Now that things are a little brighter for me financially that I will start 'buying beers!'. I usually run with Samsung's variants of phones and Huawei higher end phones. Since both companies have decided against bootloader unlocking. That I would try for a phone that maybe has the best bang for your buck draw which for 530$ Canadian I think so far is a steal compared to what's out there. I don't even know as of yet if it's been put through xda paces or not as I just received it today and so far the Red magic 6R is a sweet phone. Anyways thanks for letting me talk about everything but me and hope to see you guys around.

Hey there,
I'm Patrik. Came here to tweak my Stratos 3 and squeeze some additional functionality out of it (better than buying a new watch).
I work as a computer scientist in the Department of Physics, so C, Python and LabVIEW on a daily basis.

Cheers,
-P

I've used Pulsar+ for quite some time but this is my first time here on the forum. I'm here because I have a problem. I have four music albums listed in Pulsar + which are named similarly but numbered 1,2,3, & 4. However much I try in the Sort Order I cannot get them to show up in sequence when viewed in Pulsar +.

They are recorded on my mobile phone and Pulsar + makes a great job of showing everything (in Album view) and everything shows in the expected way other than as explained. What "sort" should I choose to get them to show up in correct numerical order as oposed to the random described.

I use a Galaxy S20 Ultra phone all up to date, and Pulsar is 1.10.8.

If I've missed anything that would help let me know,

Hi, discovered this forum when looking for solutions on enabling BP and ECG on Galaxy Watch 4. I found this site very helpful.

Hello, I'm starting a new journey in the Android world.
I started being passionate about Android at the age of 11, more than 10 years ago. Motorola Fire XT, my first smartphone, was running like a tractor, I had to do something, so I rooted it. I bricked that phone 5 or 6 times but it was worth it.
I decided to bring this concept to life by trying to improve the experience of Android users through various system tools, something different from anything on the web.
Thanks XDA, best forum ever! Stay tuned, just started.

Hi im parag im currently using realme 6i global rmx 2040 but I can't find any custom recovery for my device .
Is there will be a custom recovery for my device?
Warm welcome to XDA. Did you already check the respective device forum. There seems a custom recovery available; however, I don't know if it works or is for your device.

More than anything, XDA is a community, and we're all here for different reasons.

Some are here to mod their phone--some joined just to ask a question. Or perhaps, like many, you joined so long ago, you have no idea why you're here (which is totally fine! we've been around for almost a decade). And we're in the process of making XDA more useful to everyone here now that we've moved to much better forum software.

But we'd love to know your XDA story: why are you here, and who are you? What's your day job, what phones do you have, where do you live, what do you like to do for fun? We'd love to get to know you!

Also, be sure to spend some time filling out your profile:

And also adding what phones you have to your inventory:

:cowboy: thanks and welcome. I'm one of the guys in charge and my DMs are always open if you ever want to chat or even complain.

Go ahead and make a new thread in this forum instead of replying to this post.

Well hi all, I'm 'new', but not really that new, since I've been searching through XDA topics on many occasions for quite a few years now. Not sure why it took me so long to actually make an account, but here I am.
So about me - half geek, half creative, F/LOSS enthusiast for over 20 years, full time Linux user since 2006, interested in way to many subjects to ever become a specialist in any of them within at least a dozen of life spans. Hence I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a developer, but hey, we'll see ;-)

    HI you guys are awesome

Hi, my name is Scott, and I'm an alcoh......oh sh*t!!!
I'm just a geek who's intentions are good...... defected from iOS many times and finally I'm here to stay 👍

Very interested in Android technology and rooting.. that being said I used to be able to root a Android phone fairly easily but this was 10 years ago but now it has become more difficult for me
