Hello everyone, I'm new, here are the bright facts about me, I'm an open source, I don't welcome corporations that try to be monopolists, I am convinced that if a device cannot be repaired at home, it is a bad device

My friend said XDA is probably most reliable forum for android & it's more forgiving than StackOverflow (different purpose but yeah, They're bit elitist).
& few days ago I revived my mobile from hard brick (found most stuff and clues from XDA)

Hi, I am Josh, a teenage coder that is interested in rooting an android device because I want to unleash the full potential of Android. I like python, java, and javascript/HTML. I joined XDA because I was having difficulties unlocking the bootloader on the phone I am trying to root.

hi all,
nice to meet you, I work in software but haven't played with hardware much really. I have been benefitting from this forum for getting more control of devices in my life and having them be less broken and annoying hehe. So I'm really grateful for that and perhaps as I learn more I can also contribute in some sense, hehe.

For some reason I hear Wheatus when reading your post:

🎶 Cause you're just a teenage coder, baby 🎶

I won't sing the rest of the song or I'll get in trouble 😬 Anyway, welcome!

Hello Everyone,

All help greatly appreciated having said that nothing too technical please.
Many thanks,

Good Day! Everyone. I am new member here but not to this site. I visited this site so many times because of my Xiaomi Redmipro phone. My ever first Xiaomi Phone. I am a fan of Xiaomi products. That time I am looking for custom ROM for my Xiaomi phone and i stumbled on this site. Well thank you for the one who shared his custom ROM here.

I hope that I can impart my knowledge in here too. I love tech.

Jerry here my real name from Philippines.

I was reading a forum and I really wanna help so I made a account and helped them by giving information with the problem. I'm expert with electronics and that's how I started.

Hello all and welcome to XDA!

Well I'm hoping for some love here. And I mean help. Been years sin e I've played with computers. Have recently broken up with a babe. Who has developed some skills at HACKING PHONES.
I have done some digging. Tried Removing files, have tried rooting viA one clicks. Always there has been an android device sharing sessions with me. Just tried rooting through PC. It turned up so.e interesting things.
1) phone is already rooted. Rom installed was windows nexus something somethings.
2) there is a busy box installed on device. I have gotten into files via es file explorer and some others simar. Noting that. Phone had Att certs for messaging. And a couple of similar corporste documentations and coding.
I thought it was the ex but now know it's the busy box.
There is on the phone emulated storage for an SD card. No SD card actually installed. This appears to be source of some problems.

When attempting to root yesterday. I managed to install app root fes don't know if it took. Phone e ended up stuck in entering fast boot mode. Had to hold power key to exit. I did do a factory reset before beginning. But this gs always seem to slowly degrade when doing this
Already had weird **** happen in cash app. Not even 24hrs later.

Hoping to get some help to accelerate me through this learning curve. Get a lot of the basics. Started it admin stuff back in early 2000. Yea,I'm old. Just refuse to lay down no your not taking my info. Etc.
There's ot of cool stuff out there was reading about Chrome loader earlier today. And exploitation through power shell.
Yea,I cod just chu k the phone.
Gauntlets are down, already.
Pretty sure I've seen that sandbox is up for my emails. So unsure if they go out.
The phone is galaxy SMA326u.
I did delete the emulated SD and while hooked to USB yesterday.
This device has never physically been touched by the ex or her ilk.
The lady friend Iet use it did open text messages from my ex which I know to be infected. Also I checked with file explorer. She seems to be embedding the code in pictures.

Well know that's alot..
Any help appreciated.

Welcome! For any technical help please refer to the forum section of your device. I believe that's the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G for you. If you believe your ex is sending you malicious code you should report it to your local authorities; there's not much this community can/should do about that.

    Hi people!
As you can see, I'm new here:)
Recently I got OnePlus 9 Pro, and have some battery drain problem, so I'll be hangin around OnePlus subforums, looking for solutions, suggestions...
Except that, camera is very important to me, so I'll be in topics like that.

Good day to all you gals and guys.
I've used XDA forums in the past to try to answer various types of computer problems that I've had, and I'm sure that the content on here has helped me but I can't remember any specific occasions .... I'm an old git now 🧓
My career was in IT, and although I've forgotten most of what I knew, this background helps me understand (eventually .... sometimes) what you modern techies out there knew from birth.
So hopefully I'll get some help on here with my queries, and I look forward to a time when I may be able to contribute to an answer!
Please be gentle with me 🙏
    Chris

Well hi all, I'm 'new', but not really that new, since I've been searching through XDA topics on many occasions for quite a few years now. Not sure why it took me so long to actually make an account, but here I am.
So about me - half geek, half creative, F/LOSS enthusiast for over 20 years, full time Linux user since 2006, interested in way to many subjects to ever become a specialist in any of them within at least a dozen of life spans. Hence I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a developer, but hey, we'll see ;-)

    HI you guys are awesome
    16
More than anything, XDA is a community, and we're all here for different reasons.

Some are here to mod their phone--some joined just to ask a question. Or perhaps, like many, you joined so long ago, you have no idea why you're here (which is totally fine! we've been around for almost a decade). And we're in the process of making XDA more useful to everyone here now that we've moved to much better forum software.

But we'd love to know your XDA story: why are you here, and who are you? What's your day job, what phones do you have, where do you live, what do you like to do for fun? We'd love to get to know you!

Also, be sure to spend some time filling out your profile:

And also adding what phones you have to your inventory:

:cowboy: thanks and welcome. I'm one of the guys in charge and my DMs are always open if you ever want to chat or even complain.

Go ahead and make a new thread in this forum instead of replying to this post.

Hello everyone, i'm back here after a long, long time

I used to read alot here when i was 10 - 15 but I think i switched to iOs during 2010s and i never really had my phone in the center of my occupations so i bought some macbook & iphone and i started to learn code. (mostly js)

I would be really happy to help users here, if i can, and discuss about my new device. ;) 2020s seems to be redditable as **** tbh, the xda lost kid became some kind of creative dev who's going back to the r00t

Thank you for everything I have read here over the last years!

My story? I'm not paying over $150 for a phone anymore. I am sick and tired of companies bricking phones and taking my cash when they're perfectly usable and up to spec. I registered a few minutes ago as I find this forum to be great for mainly the old(er) Samsung devices I buy. You flash a custom ROM on one of those old babies and you have yourself a new phone. My next plan to is to hunt down a Note 7, stick a safer S7 edge battery in it (as it's compatible) and have fun.
