Hello everyone

I want to build Android x86 for games (standoff 2) (1*)
and Android x86 TV OS (2*) for my old devices:

1*
CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 955 AM3
Motherboard: N68S3B (6.X);
RAM: 8GB DDR3;
USB: 6 rear ports;
GPU: GeForce 9600 GT 512mb
LAN: Realtek RTL8111DL (on board);
Sound: ALC892/ ALC889 (on board), HDMI audio (graphics card);
Storage: SATA - SAMSUNG (500GB)

2*
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250;
Motherboard: N68S3B (6.X);
RAM: 4GB DDR3;
USB: 2 front ports | 4 rear ports;
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5450
LAN: Realtek RTL8201CL - 10/100 PHY (on board);
Sound: VIA VT1708B 6-Channel HD Audio (onboard), HDMI audio (graphics card);
Storage: SATA - SAMSUNG (500GB)

These CPUs are SSE4a, not SSE4.1 and SSE4.2....
therefore, x64 systems will not install...

I need help in selecting the right kernel or drivers, since on the second PC, kernels above 4.4.34 are not seen when installing HDD ... (But USB can also be installed)

Realme 5 Pro
Hello Everyone! I'm here to ask everyone help how fix the auto charging icon.. But if I turn it off then connect it to the pc then turn it on the realme 5 pro it will go back to normal but the fast charging was not working.. Also if I restart the phone even it doesn't connect to any usb or charger it will go back again to the problem "automatic charging"

Good day Everyone..

Hey there! This thread is just to introduce yourself. You may want to check out the Realme 5 Pro section and ask your question there, though I'm not sure what is meant by 'auto charging icon'. Make sure to be specific on technical details when posting your question.

I might have overstated my welcome...

Hi there gals and germs! I'm an IT student from Mexico. I have severe adult ADHD, so obviously I can be quite unpredictable and inconsistent with my frequency on this forum, but I'll do my best.

I purchased my first Android device a month (and a half?) ago , as of writing this post, after a boring life of iOS crap. Literally rooted my device the next week, bricked it a couple times, but managed to get it to work after reading A TON of info here, plus my familiarity with GNU+Linux and UNIX-like systems.

My desire is to be a helpful user, particularly in the Guides/Tutorial world, but also to troubleshoot when I finally reach absolute knowledge. I am also interested in localization and development myself, so feel free to contact me for those matters only. I avoid proprietary software at all reasonable costs and my focus is on user privacy and choice.
Of course, I'm still a nood here, but I think I've put the foot on the door for improvement at the very least.

Any extra info, you'll find it on my about section, which I will lazily and shamelessly base from this intro post. Please, don't be harsh on people.

Hey Jeff! Good to have you on board. I'm an ADHD lunatic myself so I'm sure we'd get along. Or would we? 😏

You have a funny way with words and I like it. Thank you for including a little manual about yourself in your signature. I guess if we'd all add our little manual, we might show more compassion in some situations. Anyway, welcome to the forum and have fun on your quest for non-proprietary awesomeness!

    4. Use the English language.

    We understand that with all the different nationalities, not everyone speaks English well, but please try. If you're really unable to post in English, use an online translator. You're free to include your original message in your own language, below the English translation. (This rule covers your posts, profile entries and signature). Greetings, I go by Shinra, or variations thereof.

    I'm "new" in that I never felt the need to make an account, but have read through the forums for a long time, last I recall being to mod my Redmi 5 back in I think 2020 or so.
    I guess that still makes me relatively new haha

    I've been involved with tech for the majority of my life, and been programming for and manipulating it since about 2016.
    What finally dragged me out of hiding is the absolute drag it has been to try and get a MiUI default-like camera to work on my new phone, I would say I'll spare you the details but I need all the info I can get so I'll leave info at the bottom of this post.

    My main thing in the tech business is programming broadly along with some design and other things for regular desktop computers, this is also where I currently find my work.
    Happy to help out where I can, and I'm sure I'll find plenty of help in this community myself.

    Cheers

    For those interested in my current troubles, got myself LineageOS 20 + MicroG for my new Redmi Note 10 Pro,
    and getting a working port of the Miui camera has been a real slog, feel free to give me pointers!
    I'll be sure to make a post if I figure it out.

    EDIT: you'd expect a programmer to be able to type, alas I cannot.

    Hi,
    Like so many others I see in this thread, I 1st joined XDA about 16-18 years ago when phones were going thru constant change.
    Then got on with other career related activity.

    XDA back then was fantastic for learning, getting good advice, and, helping others when able.

    So last week I plunged back into XDA with a question but after several days got no responses but also was struggling to even find what I had posted (its title started ‘Huawei P30 Pro’). Sadly I made a mistake and tried to repost it in a different topic area but ended up with it duplicated which earned me a justified rebuke by a moderator (a sad result for my 1st go back in the community).

    Am working thru the XDA app to try to grasp the processes but I sure need help in how I go about finding my own prior posts. Am not finding that an easy thing to do. Most forums I am in have very easy ways to list your prior posts.

    Anyway while off to a shaky start, am in no doubt what a great community XDA contains and am hoping to be able to learn and even contribute again.

    Well hi all, I'm 'new', but not really that new, since I've been searching through XDA topics on many occasions for quite a few years now. Not sure why it took me so long to actually make an account, but here I am.
    So about me - half geek, half creative, F/LOSS enthusiast for over 20 years, full time Linux user since 2006, interested in way to many subjects to ever become a specialist in any of them within at least a dozen of life spans. Hence I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a developer, but hey, we'll see ;-)

    HI you guys are awesome
    21
    More than anything, XDA is a community, and we're all here for different reasons.

    Some are here to mod their phone--some joined just to ask a question. Or perhaps, like many, you joined so long ago, you have no idea why you're here (which is totally fine! we've been around for almost a decade). :cool: And we're in the process of making XDA more useful to everyone here now that we've moved to much better forum software.

    But we'd love to know your XDA story: why are you here, and who are you? What's your day job, what phones do you have, where do you live, what do you like to do for fun? We'd love to get to know you!

    Also, be sure to spend some time filling out your profile:

    And also adding what phones you have to your inventory:

    :cowboy: thanks and welcome. I'm one of the guys in charge and my DMs are always open if you ever want to chat or even complain.

    Go ahead and make a new thread in this forum instead of replying to this post.

    Hello everyone, i'm back here after a long, long time

    I used to read alot here when i was 10 - 15 but I think i switched to iOs during 2010s and i never really had my phone in the center of my occupations so i bought some macbook & iphone and i started to learn code. (mostly js)

    I would be really happy to help users here, if i can, and discuss about my new device. ;) 2020s seems to be redditable as **** tbh, the xda lost kid became some kind of creative dev who's going back to the r00t

    Thank you for everything I have read here over the last years!

    Hi. I'm a french CS engineer and a Debian addict.

    I systematically root all my phones and have a specialization in tuning the iptables to not talk to the GAFAMs. Rooted phones so far : Huawei codenames HAM, NEML51, old samsung phones, a couple of Wiko phones.

    I've been following XDA-developers for a decade and decide now to onboard :
    * Short-term goal : get some help on a very edge case involving dm-verity and kali nethunter on Nexus5X (bullhead)
    * Long-term goal : wait patiently for the day when a full debian phone / ubuntu touch will be available at a relatively low price, and help all along
