More than anything, XDA is a community, and we're all here for different reasons.

Some are here to mod their phone--some joined just to ask a question. Or perhaps, like many, you joined so long ago, you have no idea why you're here (which is totally fine! we've been around for almost a decade). And we're in the process of making XDA more useful to everyone here now that we've moved to much better forum software.

But we'd love to know your XDA story: why are you here, and who are you? What's your day job, what phones do you have, where do you live, what do you like to do for fun? We'd love to get to know you!

I'm a privacy oriented guy. Still have my original nexus one that was my first dive into custom roms. Took a long break on roms until last year. I was hoping UBports would've been further along, but sadly it's not. I've returned to ROMs in order to degoogle my devices. Running a G7 plus now as daily driver, also playing with a couple of old S5s, galaxy tab 3, tab e and S3. Love to be able to unplug from the matrix, very appreciative of all the folks working on and maintaining these devices!

Linux user for Years, i am pleased to finally boycott Google (and Apple) with lineageos.
No coding knowledge at all but may some day i learn?

I'm an old school code jockie known in the xbox modding circle as xboxjunkimatrix .. started breaking into stuff on an old commodore computer into my dads game leasure suit Larry ... LoL .... Ex member of uha1.com I was an original starting member ... Yes I'm old .... Now I just break into cells me against the vendors .... Better then the old Slackware and netbus days btw I'm old enough to remember the creation of windows .. and when *.* Was a virus
