I hate to use onscreen kbd.
Bought this BT PixelView sliding kbd for iPhone on Amazon for ~$30
Removed iPhone case and using double-sided tape attached to TPU rubber case*
dont't think it's a good idea to attach kbd directly to Atrix
(though if you have a spare battery cover that will work)
Both devices look nice but together - ugly and bulky
Keyboard is very well made and I like keys.
Surprized how good is package - just piece of art
Once paired - does not need to be re-paired after wakeup/reboot
works with second language(I use russian)
arrows work as mouse pointer in Opera
On the dark side - dark (no backlight
no Alt and Ctrl keys, no F1...keys, no Tab
does not store different device configurations - needs to be repaired
after using with another gadget/PC
There are Caps, Shift and Fn keys + iPhone 'home' button and 'search'
First you want to customize is apple's 'home' button
I assigned 'back' function to this button

Edit /system/usr/keylayout/usb_keyboard_102_en_us.kl in RootExplorer or PC
(change permissions to rw r r if edited on PC):
add line:
key 172 BACK WAKE_DROPPED
needs reboot after editing
I also assigned 'Menu' to Fn+'Search' button
(key 32 MENU WAKE_DROPPED)
I belive that 'search' function overrides somewhere
it works for me as 'menu' in most applications but as 'search' from home screen and Opera
and if you are in text input somewhere it adds 'space' to your text because of same
(32) keycode as 'space'
If you want to know key codes for different buttons and you have M$ Access installed
you can use attached keys.mdb (zip)
(you need to pair your BT keyboard with your PC)
* TPU case ~$10 shipped (Amazon)- good case, fits exactly, saved my phone twice.(dropped from ~4' to concrete)
** I also use screen/body protectors for all my devices from BestSkinEver.com
very durable and lasts long. I use ArmorAll leather polisher for screen to make
it sleek and more fingerprint protected
