IR Blaster range?

How is the range of the IR remote on the Note 3? Better than the S4?

I had the S4 then the G2 and now the Note 3 and I would say it's about the same as the S4 and much better than the G2. The G2 was crappy with range and angles.

No problem from about 6 meters (which is as far as I can get while staying within line of sight from my receiver).

Have you tried it in bars? With the HTC One I have no problems changing the TV channels in bars and restaurants from across the room.

Sounds fun, but no, I haven't tried that.

What app do you all recommend for using this? I could unfreeze WatchOn, but I suspect there are far better third party apps.

I'd forgotten all about this feature until now....
