It says I should use one app called "fingerprint remote" but I only founded in chinnese.

The app zaza remote from the play store detects it, but not they way it should.

And in the manual it says it works with htc, zte, huawei... so there must be a way.

Try it with color tiger smart remote. If itdoesnt work with that app email the development team at color tiger and I promise you they will look into adding support for it.

This app doesnt detect it like zaza remote, this color triger just says "This phone doesnt have IR"

I wrote to both developers...maybe Ill find something soon

I once soldered an IR-transmitter to a headphone jack and plugged it into my smartphone (back then it was the S4 I guess).
With audio WAV files I could play sequences to trigger my amsung TV into maintenance mode and unlock all kinds of features that were disabled for my tv's price range.

When you got this ir-minijack accesory, my guess would be that it should work on audio to get it working, just as my soldered version did. I only never used an app for that.

I use "IR Remote Control" with a low cost or ir buy from China and work well. You must put at max volume to use it and don't stay to near the TV. To see if work use another phone camera to see if the IR emit a little light when you press a button of the app
