My 2 year old S8 Active (G892U) was working perfectly on 8.0 and right after flashing 9.0 the iris scanner fails occasionally. There is no notification or anything, just the red light wont come on and any apps that use the camera wont open. A simple restart solves the issue.
This is my daily driver and this update is driving me crazy. Absolutely hating Samsung for this irresponsible behavior.
Is there a workaround that anyone knows? I've read that the regular S8 is also experiencing issues like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If this doesn't get resolved Samsung is losing a long standing customer. A simple update rendering a $800 phone useless. Pathetic.
