Iris and print?

So can you use the iris scanner and back it up with a fingerprint too? Not 2 factor but in regular use cases like driving a car or wearing sunglasses, or simply hitting the home button to power the screen on?

I believe you're asking if the Iris Unlock and Fingerprint Unlock can both exist as an unlock option at the same time so you're free to choose whichever one you want to use whenever you want?

Kinda like... normally, you would want to use the fingerprint unlock, but on those days when its raining and your hands are wet, you can simply swipe up to activate Iris Unlock instead?

And when your finger is wet, just dry and use it.

I really preferr fingerprint scan to unlock the system and iris scan, to access very confident informations (telebanking, passwort store and so on).

Exactly right. You can set both up and use whichever you prefer in any occasion.

I don't understand how this combination would compromise security, since the level of security of fingerprints and iris scanner remains unchanged.
On a whole, the Iris Scanner is already more secure than the Fingerprint Scanner.

From what I know of the phone, even if you use the Iris Scanner as an option to unlock the device, you're still able to use it as the unlocking method for a more confidential storage option like the Secure Folder.
Since its two different things, you're free to use the more secure Iris Scanner to both unlock the system and to access confidential information.
But I believe, fingerprint scanner would be used more simply because its quicker to unlock on a typical use case than the extra step for the Iris Scanner.

Honestly, I'm very excited about this combination.
A few months back, I ran into this scenario where I tripped and fell on my hands. Ended up scraping my fingers against the concrete and it tore some skin and left some scars that didn't leave for a few weeks. So at the time, fingerprint unlocking didn't work and since I primarily used Fingerprint Unlock, I forgot my backup password and had to rely on the GMail option to unlock device.
For a few weeks, I had to switch to using a Pattern Unlock till I healed enough to switch back to Fingerprint.
Now, if I had this phone, I could simply switch to the Iris Scanner and unlock without having to bother with the entire trouble of trying to remember backup password, gmail unlock, and switching to Pattern Unlock.

Ahh, I misunderstood you.
So you meant that using both would give people a less secure option to get into your device when its safer to just use the more secure method?

I misunderstood because in your original post, it sounded like you preferred the fingerprint unlock for unlocking device and would rather dry your fingers instead of using the iris unlock.
The wording confused me.

Fully agree with you but also personally I don't care. It isn't about added security for me. Finger is fine. I just want gloves on convenience.

With the Iris Scan it's a bit more tricky, there he might need your eye ...
Maybe a good reason, not to use Iris scan, if you mess around with the wrong people ...
