Well, for me 16gigs is enough. I only keep 3 big games at most. That will depend entirely on your level of usage. The Nexus 7 does support OTG

I already filled 23Gb's, 3.3Gb's left.

Have no bigs game installed, movie in 1080p eats up to 10Gbs of space though
So if u want some HQ video on it, 16Gbs is not enough

For my normal use 16gb storage is enough for me, but when i start putting anime on it, i want with me, i run out of storage :D

it should be possible using a cardreader/usb stick with this cable:

Nexus 7 Tablet Micro USB Host OTG Cable - Micro USB B/Male to USB2.0 A/Female OTG Host Cable for Nexus 7

but ppl say to get it to work u either need to be "Rooted" or buy "Nexus Media Importer" i haven't tried it, but i am may thinking about it bcs flash cards and usb sticks ain't as expensive anymore and i will be able to have more then 32gb i hope :fingers-crossed:

It looks quite expensive in your country.anyway I choice the 32G one,I think bigger is better, even OTG supported.
honestly,I'm a movie fever,I always watch in my Nexus7 especially in class.

Really no matter what you are going to be juggling content whether it's 16 or 32 gigs. Whats the difference if you can hold one 1080p movie or two? If you have any big games or movies you will be switching them out when you get new ones because either way there is not enough storage for the kind of content this thing uses.

Personally I went with the 16 as it is cheaper.

I also got the 16gb wifi version. Truth is it fills up fast so you need to be selective on apps, music and movies. Definately your entire music library needs to be cut down to your most favourite songs (I limited down to 4gb)... Concerning movies, no question about that since a good quality 720p movie takes about 4-4,5gb of space, so you need to erase what you already watched and load another one. You also need to have in mind that some apps require additional space for extra data, like games or gps navigators, so you need to have some space reserved for them.

Anyway, I guess the whole concept of a high-end 16gb tablet is not to act like a media storage device since you can watch everything online. Some of your favourite games, music and maybe 1-2 hd movies and that's about it.

there isn't much between 16gb and 32gb. A couple of HD movies might fill in. But personally I think it isn't worth it. Since USB OTG works fine id go for 16Gb one.

Thanks for your feedback everyone, does anyone know if we can transfer the game data(heavy game) in pendrive/sdcard and still play it on tablet?

16GB has been plenty for me. I don't store any media on my device though, stream everything through Hulu, Netflix, YT, and Google Music. My "big games" are limited to Simpsons Tapped Out and MtG. I have 6.25GB available right now with 3.95GB in apps/games.

I've used my OTG+USB drive to watch movies, works great. A little clumsy looking with the USB drive hanging off the dongley OTG cable but oh well. I just ordered the Meenova card reader and will get a card as well, much more elegant looking set up I think.

I had the same thought, technically I would imagine it would work like thus,

Nexus > OTG cable > USB storage device formatted to correct format...with a rooted device surely you could install apps to a different location via app2sd or something similar???

I have not testedthis!, just a theory

For games, it is enough, trust me, you can't play that much games at the same time except you play just heavy games..

But if you want to have some movies/some Music GB then you will have to be a little bit more selective,

but well, with casual games:

aproximately 60MB each normal game:

60 MBx150 Games= 9GB

you can have up to 150 casual games and one heavy game +1GB but with no music..

if i were you, i would priorise internal space for games, since other types of things (documents, movies, music) can be at the cloud.

you can have more than 6GB of heavy games and still be able to download more than 50 common games.. and you will still have like 3 or 4 GB left.

When u reach 2 gig remaining. I don't know if it will work well.

I tell u for the difference of price of 30 bucks go with the 32gig. I know it s money for you and u don't have a lot... But think u will keep this tablet for 2 years.... The next nexus 2014 will probably have a better camera but no need to upgrade every year.

It s 15 bucks per year extra memory. Over 1 dollar a month.... Do u have one dollar?

Here you go.....

(IPad is 100 bucks for extra memory.)
