Is Android P the last major update ?

Hello everyone

I initially thought that Nokia 7 plus came with 8.1 update and so 9.0 was first major update.
But it turns out 8.1 was also an update and it did not come with it.
So. Android P could be the last major update if Nokia counts 8.1 update as major update.

Please give your thoughts on this.

i don't read anything about "counting" major updates...
N7+ is in "AndroidOne" program, this means "2 years of updates AND upgrades" (from launching)...
BTW: N7+ in some country (where launched before end of April) come with Android 8.0...
