Is buying a Note 4 with Knox 0x1 a bad idead?

I could get a note 4 pretty cheap but it has knox 0x1 . I dont care about waranty. Can i still root and install custom roms?

Not a bad idea, just make sure it is working as it should. You will be rooting and using custon roms anyway so knox being tripped is nothing to worry about.
