Is downgrading from ZVE to ZV8 safe?

Is downgrading from ZVE to ZV8 safe? Last time I did an downgrade with the G4, it got hard bricked. I dont want it to happen again.

For future reference, yes, it is safe to downgrade from zve to zv8.
