You need magisk to get the root accessDo you recommend to install it? Or the Xiaomi EU rom comes rooted?
Thanks buddy
Actually wipe what? There are 3 options: Manual, format, factory reset (through swipe). On my old one plus 3 I was usually swiping manually data\system\cache\dalvik or swiping for factory reset. Keeping the internal storage intact as I needed for flashing the rom. I don't think internal storage has never been an issue,so I don't think I need to wipe it.
Don't you have root on your phone? Magisk should be essential, shouldn't it? Is Xiaomi.EU rooted by default?
I also found this guide,What do you think?
Also what is the latest Xiaomi EU rom? Where can I find it?
Thanks a lot guysHere is the latest Xiaomi EU ROM (stable) https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...11Ultra_V12.5.7.0.RKACNXM_v12-11.zip/download
By wipe, I meant factory reset by swiping. That should be enough I think.
I do not have root at the moment as I currently don't need it. Xiaomi.EU ROM (as of 12.5.7 stable) passes the safety net test and I have no issues whatsoever.
The password should be your lockscreen password. For me it's a 4 number password, so I just enter it to decrypt.
Pop over to the EU forum, https://xiaomi.eu/community for twrp and the ROMs. Use twrp once installed to format data. You know when you have to type yes to format. Thanks a lot guys
So factory reset with swipe is enough to install the xiaomiEu coming from stock? Could anyone else confirm this? Also what is the latest TWRP? Have you got a link? i am at the moment waiting for the unlock from Xiaomi so I will be ready this Sunday
I read that wiping system partition is never recommended, but I used to do it on my one plus 3, how come? What is wrong with it?Pop over to the EU forum, https://xiaomi.eu/community for twrp and the ROMs. Use twrp once installed to format data. You know when you have to type yes to format.
I can attest that I get outstanding coverage with t-mobile here in Los Angeles with zero issues and very fast 5g, and it is actual 5g because when I go in my parking garage or other areas it will show LTE instead. and also did a speed test and can attest to getting over 100mbs download speeds. And this is all on the Chinese versionHonestly I'd just get the China Model. Before buying it I was SOO worried about not having Band 66 on ATT. I've literally had zero issues. LTE is really fast. Calls never drop, ALWAYS have really good service. I live in a fairly rural market so this isn't like a city littered with coverage.
There's also another poster on here who has T-Mobile that says he has had AN AMAZING connection. Even said he gets 5G. So take it from someone who was worried about getting the Global because of Band 66. It really doesn't matter. I get VoLTE, great coverage, and fast LTE. I got the 512GB Model for HUNDREDS cheaper than the Global 256 Model is selling for right now online.
No, install twrp, flash and format data. Are there any problems to flash the .eu Rom on the german Vodafone version RKAEUVF?
I am using the Google Dialer that came with the ROM (Indian) and call recording is natively supported by it. Is the same not available in Global/EU versions?
Not in global. The problem is that it is not legal in some countries, so it gets restricted.I am using the Google Dialer that came with the ROM (Indian) and call recording is natively supported by it. Is the same not available in Global/EU versions?
Oh I see. That makes sense. The privacy laws in EU are much more structured than here. Not in global. The problem is that it is not legal in some countries, so it gets restricted.

I use EU weekly and don't have any issues, may be someone on stable can reply....I apologize for necroing this thread/reply but I for some reason i cannot post on Xiaomi EU forums as im getting the error message "my post is spam or something",
i want to ask is, I'm currently running the latest 12.5 stable rom for the MI 11 Ultra, when I try to access the "wallpaper" and "themes" in settings, it crashes. I cannot also change my lock screen wallpaper for some reason (even with a third party app), im using the stock launcher.
Thank you for the reply, the i will download the weekly, however in the weekly rom: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-9-15-17.63164/I use EU weekly and don't have any issues, may be someone on stable can reply....
Yes, the .EU ROM fixes all those dozens of tiny little quality of life issues you have with the China ROM.I have the CN version currently as it arrived this week finally and I'm torn between unlocking the BL and flashing eu rom or just sell it and grab global. I currently use AT&T sim in tray 2 and like you said I have full signal including 5G in most places and I'm sitting on Band 2 in NJ. I also tried my VZW sim as I saw a previous member mention it and sure enough it also worked once I disabled carrier Volte check and I was sitting on Band 4 as well at my house.
The only thing that keeps me wondering if it would be better is that the global version has a true 5G n5 band under AT&T and even VZW which most likely isn't even available for all i know in my area, but for an extra $500 is it even worth it I keep telling myself lol.
I believe you are on the eu ROM correct? If so how do you like it compared to the CN rom? Do you get all notification icons on the AOD which is driving me crazy on the CN rom that most don't pop up.
All banking apps, and Google Pay NFC payments work with unlocked bootloader on .EU ROM no Magisk needed.I guess it all depends if you don't need a locked bootloader. Some people need their bootloader to be locked for some professional apps (Or a few banking apps, etc...). Most of the time Magisk manages to hide your unlocked bootloader but not always. So you have a risk for this in this very particular case.
If you don't need your bootloader to be locked, then go for the EU ROM. As explained by others you get more features and updates much earlier than the global rom gets.
